Well, A titan is a walker, and I'd hate for mine to fall over, so I am going to put a base on it. However, what would look appropriate? Grass and a couple trees pops into my head, but that just seems too traquil for a machine of death.

Look in your Bits -Box for vehicle doors, tracks etc.
Maki it look like the Titan just 'stomped' something.
Oh, and by the way, I think this should be in the P&M thread.
But good luck!(I would never personally 'base' a Titan though)

I think if you can go without basing it I would. The thing's going to be big enough and once you add a base how will you manouver it around terrain.

I don't really like the idea of basing a gaming Titan. Your base will be bigger than most area terrain. Such a hassle!
But I came up with what was, in my mind, a pretty good solution to that. Why not base each foot seperately? The biggest problem with an unbased titan is the precarious balance and stability of his footprint, made even worse by a dynamic pose. So just slap some 60mm's under there (maybe a couple of CDs if you want to be sure) and give him the 'snow shoe' effect. Much less base to decorate, at least.
Then I'd put the remains of buildings under his feet. Titan SMISH!

How about instead of a conventional scenic basing idea, just do something that you can hide for support. Like a big plus sign '+' that you can attach to each foot while playing so it has some extra support while it's on the table, paint them the color of the table it's on and bam, done. Make them removable so you don't detract from the model on the shelf.
That or maybe a metal rod that can act as a 3rd leg prop while it's on the table. 3 legs are much more stable than 2.

Basically I have three reasons I want to base my titans. First, in Appocolypse they follow all the rules for walkers, so they kind of need the base to follow the rules. Second, it makes assaults with infanty SO much easier to figure out. Third, one of my reavers tends to tilt forwards quite a bit and wants to fall.

Personally, I think the "basing each foot" idea would be cool, and you would have to make less of a bother about it. BUT, tranquility could be a nice setup for the pseudo-diorama aspect of it. Think of it; deer, squirrels, cute and fluffy little bunnies, all playing and eating peacefully and in harmony. Then, they look up and see this Titan foot blotting out the sun...

How big are the feet, if they are big enough for the titan to be stable hollowgthem out and weight them and use the titan without a base.
Fwelt the underaside of the itans feet for a better grip and to protect the model (and terrain). If in doubt makecthe feet slightly bigger.
