I see shooting at Skimmers moveing fast, but what about other Vehicles moving fast being shot at, I allways thought it was 6's to hit, but
i wanted to make sure...
Could you fine Gentlemen tell me what page to look at?

BTW i have the Lil' (LGB) Rulebook. so i dont know if their is a Dif. in Pg.#'s.

Non-skimmers moving fast get hit like ordinary vehicles moving slowly or sitting still. Skimmers moving fast aren't shot on results of 6, they're shot on the usual BS threshold and automatically reduce all penetrating hits to glancing hits.

No problem. Incidentally things may change if rumours about the 5th edition of 40k are true, and the difference between skimmers and regular vehicles might shrink a bit.

I think you might be confusing the hand to hand rules with the shooting rules. Nothing ever changes the number you need to hit a vehicle with a shooting attack. It doesn't matter if it's a ground vehicle or a skimmer, you just use the normal to hit number based on you ballistic skill...always.

Now hand to hand is a different story. In hand to hand with normal vehicles, you hit them automatically if they are stationary, on 4+ if they have moved up to (and including) 6", and you hit them on 6+ if they moved over 6". Skimmers, on the other hand, can only be hit in hand to hand on a roll of a 6 regardless of if it moved or not.

Hope that helps.

So would this be correct if a tank fires all of it weapons i hit it atomaticly , if it fires one weapon i hit on fours and it moves over 6 i need sixes to hit ?

Nono , you always use your BS skill to hit no matter what.

BUT if the skimmer goes full 24" they get special 4+ save. BUT again! if they get immobilized during the special movement they blow up.

And no, you always use your BS to shoot at Skimmers, even if they moved 24"

BRAAAAAAAAAAINSSS.... RUN for your life! Its an undead thread! 1 year 2 month + Necromancy. Ouch.

Deviant Cadaver (hahaha, bit o' irony there) the rules for Skimmers, shooting at them, and assaulting them are pretty clear in the rulebook.

In both assault and shooting situations you will need to know the basics of the game, so READ THAT RULEBOOK. Most importantly with skimmers, you'll need to know the distance the skimmer moved from its starting point to its ending point in its last movement phase.
This is important because of its impact on how hard it is to hit in assault, or if its going so fast as to obscure itself during shooting.

*edit* Damnit, teach me to try to type something long and with thought.... two others post between my clicking of "reply" and "submit" ... grrr *edit*

Gwar is correct. The Zombie thread must be put down (kudos to the guy sending me a better antithread necromancy pic).
