As part of the January Monthly Vows project, I thought I'd post up the status of my Ogre Gorger. It's still not done - the wolf head in its right hand is unpainted, its eyes haven't been done, and the base won't get done until the army is finished - but I think it's close enough that I can share it. As ever, comments and criticisms are welcome!

Human model's-eye-view. Scary! I wouldn't want to be the guy who spotted this running in his backfield...

It's just as scary even when it's not looking at you!

I tried something new with this model - I wanted to texture it so that it seemed like it was "furry". Unfortunately, the texture effect didn't come close to working like I'd wanted it to, and in places (like this shoulder), it looks like the wolf is tiger-striped. Oh well, I guess there are worse things...

Here's the classic "Rackham Store" pose of the model. I looked at it for a very long time, and was actually scared to buy this model and try painting it because of how cool it looked. It turned out to be much easier to paint then you would think - the model is very well sculpted, and lends itself well to semi-talented hands!

View from above, to show off some of the back and top of the head.

Up close and personal! Fear test, anyone?

Here's the "I'm on top of a pile of skulls!" camera angle. Shame the skulls aren't painted...

Another close-in shot. The texturing effect is again obvious here.

As always, comments and criticisms are encouraged!
