Hi Folks,

Searched the forums, and found a very small number of references to stripping resin. Of these, none were definite "this works" or "DO NOT USE THIS" statements. Does anyone have any suggestions, especially those based on experience, for chemical strippers that are resin-safe?

One product that was mentioned was Cillit Bang (or Easy-Off BAM here in the States). Someone said they saw a GW employee preparing to use it on an old Revenant, but gave no after-report. Does anyone have experience with using this as a stripper on anything; plastic, metal, or resin?

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

On metal and resin I use laquer thinner.
Its toxic as all get outs but nothing makes them cleaner.
I've used it on forgeworld grey and white resin, as well as the old armor cast titans.
For plastics I use simple green, its a house cleaning solution that can be found in most stores, at least in the US any way.

I've used Simple Green for stripping nearly everything - plastic, resin, and metal. Works good, not stinking or deadly. You'll need to scrub a bit on some models but that's the breaks

If you didn't use auto primer on the resin, a few days (or months if you forget about it) in Simple Green should let the paint slide off resin.
