Subject: Dark Eldar Jetbikes & Saves/Toughness

I've recently become somewhat interested in Dark Eldar and was looking into jetbikes for the Archon/Dracon, I've seen other discussions along a similar line but not relating exactly to this.
The dark eldar codex references craftworld eldar jetbikes in describing it's reaver's.
Treated in the same manner as a normal jetbike, Reaver jetbikes are almost the same as the eldar jetbike apart from an added turbo-booster.
It then goes on to explain the Turbo-boost rule (which is pretty pointless now) and what weapons a rider can use (1h only, can't wield 2 weapons at once). No other rules such as method of movement are described which suggests to me, it was allways intended that the eldar jetbike basic statline be used with the Turbo-booster modification which is now redundant, would you then use the new 4th edition jetbike rules with the Reaver jetbikes, resulting in any model on a Dark Eldar Reaver Jetbike gaining a 3+ save in accordance with the rules located on the guardian jetbike description in the latest codex eldar.
Also, as an aside:
The Reaver statline has T4, which seems to be accounting for the increased T from riding a bike, but it seems like this should be 3(4), so would an Archon on a bike be 3(4) or 3 or 4, also what is commonly accepted for reavers? 3(4) as what seems to have been the intention, plain 4 as per RAW, or 4(5) adding in the +1 T for bike on top of the statline given.

Why would they give Reavers their own statline if they intended you to use a different statline from a different unit in a different codex?
would you then use the new 4th edition jetbike rules with the Reaver jetbikes, resulting in any model on a Dark Eldar Reaver Jetbike gaining a 3+ save in accordance with the rules located on the guardian jetbike description in the latest codex eldar.
You use the 4th edition rules for Jetbikes, as found on page 54 of the Rulebook, with the Reaver entry in Codex Dark Eldar.
You don't refer to Codex Eldar for stats unless you're using an Eldar list.

Hmmm I see your point, it was kinda just a "what if" idea I had rather than my plan to try and exploit it, but you definitely make it seem pretty clear that it's beyond being arguable.
What about the Toughness then, since it is mentioned in the rulebook and doesn't really line up with the lack of mention of it in the dark eldar codex?

They do move shoot jump and with 2 blaster in a unit can hunt armor well are not half bad. They are a bit to expensive currently when compared to the Eldar equivalent tho'.

As per the Rulebook Jetbike entry, a character who takes a Reaver gains the +1 Toughness, which does not count towards Instant Death.
This is also mentioned in the DE FAQ and Wargear book. My Codex is a first print, so I have no idea if it's been added in the revised version.
For Reaver units, the Toughness increase is included in their profile, so technically they should suffer ID from S6 weapons... but given the way their profile is written, you could make a RAW argument that they should be 4(5). I doubt it would make you popular if you tried it in game, though.

The problem here is that the DE codex is 3rd edition compatable, not 4th.
This meens many rules will be replaced by the BGB rules. Naturally this will often have additional implication.
My advice tread carefully

Don't forget that according to the FAQ a Reaver Jetbike also gives you +1 strenth.
