Hi guys, here is the WIP destroyer lord for my crons. I hate the normal staff of light and think it is far to wimpy looking to match its rules, so I am replacing it. I also thought if it was more of a spear/lance/trident type weapon that was going to be doing a lot of jabbing and slashing, why not have it integrated into the arm of the lord rather than held.

Pretty simple conversion here, but i really wanted to integrate some of the necron glowy rod to the weapon. Originally i planned it to be the center tine of a trident sort of approach but it looked really dumb no matter how i tried to set it up.

Please hit me with any critiques or suggestions you may have, I am kind of stuck right now and could definately use some feedback.

You could cut windows or drill holes in the metal tubing near the end of the shaft and put the "glowy rod" thing inside the staff with just the tip poking out.

I second zozo's idea but add a little green ball to the end.

If you can, put something in it's hand. Maybe just a standard res orb or a head or just whatever looks good to you.

yeah i have a glass bead that will be his res orb, but wont be getting installed until after paint and dullcoat and all that... does look goofy with him doing the pope-wave right now, but the orb should fix that

I personally think that you should stick a gauss rod INTO the forked tines, and MAYBE flaten out the tip, and chop it into a point/blade/spear tip. If he had a fork, wouldn't the tines snap and flex when he poked a SM? So, I think a Gauss Reinforced staff/spear of light might help that out.
For the Shooty part, you could say the whole staff lights aglow with radiant green energy and pushes to the tip, where the mini-pylon bit discharges the energy as a flayer round.
