Hey,

I hope someone can offer some suggestions. I'm at a bit of a loss to figure out how I'm going to replace the BS on the trukk with a rokkit and make it look good. The old trukks were easy, just cut off the BS, magnetize a KK rokkit and presto. The new ones with a real gunner are a bit more of a challenge. I'm tempted to go for a closed turrent, but I figure that's the easy way out.

Or I could just cut off the end of the BS and mount a rokkit head, but I think that would also look craptacular. For some reason I'm pulling a huge blank on this, any ideas to help me get started?

Thanks

I cut the tip of the BS off and mounted a rokkit head;

Yeah I did something similar with the rokkity bitz from the lootas sprue. It doesn't look great though. I've ordered some rokkit launchas from forgeworld, but when the hell they'll arrive is beyond me!

On thing I noticed is that you can easily fit a rokkit armed infantry model into the space given. That could be a solution. I used this in a tourney with the metal tankbustas, it worked alright.

Yeah, I did that also in the last game I played in. I've plenty of home made rokkit launchers lying around, so maybe I'll just do that.

hm, maybe I could fit a chimera turrent on it, rip out the multi-laser and mount a HK there instead...

Perhaps, stick a Loota frame with attached rockets to the gunner, make it visually different from the Big Shoota look.

I'm tempted to use the turret elsewhere - e.g. a buggy - and for the trukk add a seat and a boy holding a rokkit. Another possibility is an 'un-manned' mechanical rokkit launcher turret, operated by the driver

What would you all think about a closed crew cab? Would it be confusing to others and they would think it rep'ed a 'ard top? A bit of plasticard, plastirod, armour plates with glyphs, small turrent for the rokkit, might not be so bad.

so long as the back 'passenger compartment' is open topped, I think it's still pretty obviously open topped - but still worth pointing out to opponents
