I'm going to be starting a fallen army and I'm trying to identify which parts come in which box. My main question is how many robed power armor bodies come in the Dark Angels Upgrade Box? I know the veterans box comes with 5. What shoulder pads are included in the veterans box? Normal pads or dark angels?

This is the aspect that really sucks about GW taking away the bitz option. I used to LOVE being able to order only the sprue that I needed, and being able to see said sprue in the online store.

The Dark Angels Veteran box is the Dark Angels Upgrade box.

The 'upgrade pack' that they're offering on the webstore appears to be just the Veteran box without the box.

listed as 2 seperate items on the gw online store. Look on the us online store, space marines, then click dark angels, then click the last tab.

Yes, I realise they're listed as two seperate items. Hence my comment that the two appear to actually be the same thing...

They're still the same sprue. For $2 less than the boxed version, you get the sprues without bases or box.

At least it's a discount. On the UK store they're the same price.

They are the same thing. I've got nearly forty of the buggers and the vet box is the da upgrade sprue. You will get lots of DA termie stuff too, so enjoy that.

Including loads of spare Assault Cannons, which I think they put there just for gaks and giggles.

Just picked up the Dark Angels Veterans box today to restart work on my old Grey Knight army, and am quite annoyed to find out that despite what the picture on the box shows, you only get 4 hoods for the 5 robes.

Am I the only one who thinks the cover art should only include what you can make with the contents of the box?

shoulder pads -
you get 5 with a downwards pointing sword (IE 1/2 a DA symbol :( )and 5 with 'personalized' iconography.
btw i ordered a whole bunch of DA metal shoulder pads to go on mine - didn't realize that they are actually smaller than the standard current versions ( :( again)

They are smaller? Dang. I'm just glad I got a bunch of the plastic ones. Now if GW would frikking re release the cypher backpacks and I could actually finish the army.
