why would you want bottles of xp? there's a plethora of xp farms on the server. but you can get them down to 3 emeralds a bottle if you really want them.

the mob heads are a royal pain, I spent a month getting mine and I don't think there's enough diamonds on the server to get me to fire up the farm again and try to get more.

Chainmail can be purchased but that comes with the cost of having to gain emeralds in the first place

Just for bottled repair work to the tools and armour really. It saves the hastle of travelling all over in the middle of a project

Despite the unusually high spawn rate of Creepers getting lighting to strike one is pretty much a rng thing, and it has not once happened in all my time playing across all my worlds. It would be nice to have an alternative method of acquiring them as opposed to running around in a thunderstorm praying to the rng gods that you get lucky. How did your mobhead farm work? Maybe that will be the solution.
Other atifacts like elytra (which are basically ipossible to find given how much the End has been explored) could also be craftable..

Yeah. I need to fish up some saddles anyway. I only have one at mo and I belive that's on my decent horse.

Im at Stallion bay at mo.

Moving horses is slow with only one saddle. Also may need to breed if not a constant spawn rate of them.

As said. I got 7 bays ready on thr main sub level for storage.
We can keep good ones down there and then breed off those better horses for some middle of road but ideal nether horses to save hunger

Il get a extra set of 4-6 bays built later one.
Keep a few spare horses down there to go out later on.

Well, I am happy to report that the first horse and the first donkey are at the central hub!
Well, I say at it, its not exactly finished yet, and they will not be staying there. I intend to breed a Mule and a couple of Horse and then take these two back with me to Ulm, but they should give us a start.

Jhe, before you go back out to grab more horse have a check inside your stables

The farm worked

most of the month was building it, getting annoyed the lightning struck outside the farm, expanding the farm, missing, expanding, getting a hit but not charging the creeper, blowing up, blowing up and destroying a vital part of the farm, blowing up again, camping on a perch 24/7 annoying everyone else playing as no one could sleep because I was huddled on my perch waiting for thunder, you ever notice how it doesn't really thunder that often? waiting, waiting, see a strike miss, waiting, waiting, OMG I finally got one.

but ya the farm works, and once I got a charged creeper and the sacrifice into it's pit, I always got a head.

More importantly items like Elytra are all but impossible to come by, especially as the End has been explored so vastly.

Elytra are kind of a Catch-22; they make exploring the End so much quicker, but you need to explore the End to get them. Ender pearls help a bit, but there's just some places that are too far to throw them.

If you need an Elytra though, I can give you one. I have a ...couple... from my time adventuring out there . And the North and South parts of the End aren't really all that explored.

I pretty much winged it let me know a good time to catch you in game and I can show you the farm. It got rather large at the end so I covered it up.

every 5th block, I dropped a creeper in a hole, sitting on top of a overly complicated water way to bring the charged creeper to its designated explosion zone. Then lured the victim to another hole and water system to get him into place.

Wow... That's quite a few horses and donkeys you found. What's the plan with them?

I managed to increase stable capacity to 10 bays or there about. They can all be put in seperatr bays if that's easier for you or kept in the planned farm for now.

So we just need to work out eventually which ones we want for breeding use and those whom get sent to spawn stable?

It was nothing
I just got those for breeding and use really as we lacked many in the farm - their yours to do with as you please!
I have managed to get 3 tame horses to spawn, minus saddles, and one donkey. Currently there is room for 2 more, although we can expand. If you want to drop by the hub you can check them (and it) out, and feel free to change any your not happy with or modify the stables.

Keep them for breeding for now. I have not need of many horses at stoney shore for now.

And means we can breed mules, horses and donkeys

Its mostly water to resources I need so!
Il take a look. I need to check stoney shore for supplies.

We have stables ready.
I started a small tree farm below water as a supply to keep base stocked without having to dodge creepers

On the tree note, would you mind if I opened up a direct route through the forest to the plains? Only the trees make leading horses back hard.

Yes, I Don t mind if you cut out a roadway and lay a path if you want.

Maybe leave some horses back there as breeding back up?
I Don, t want to strip stallion Bay entirely of named aspect.

It's an old community project ported over from the previous world. Everyone had a similar sized plot of land and were encouraged to build it up to a little neighborhood.

Thats exactly what it is. Mel started it March 2013, and we were all throwing in for the project, like a community. It was abandoned (to my knowledge) when the server stopped being as popular. I believe I still have a house there too. Might go see if it's still there.

That was back during the Minecraft hayday, when people were still curious and excited about the possibilities of a block-based building-and-exploration sandbox. The market's kinda flooded with them, now. Space Engineers, Terraria, Factorio and a dozen other 'clones' and stuff. More options, spread out playerbase, people less enthused about it. The spectacle of it as sort of worn off.

I personally just find it hard to get back into vanilla after playing so much modded. I would love to run a LOTB+Direwolf server someday, but those tend to die out quickly.

Also u[dates. There cut shorter by the fact they update packs and invalidate the previous saves.

Maybe with the above idea of setting up a second spawn and fresh start is not a bad idea
All built in brand new chunks with all the new stuff.
