Has anyone seen this? Or did this? Would that look legit?

I could have the ability to model up all 100 figs in Corvus pattern power armor (greaved legs, 4 straps on breast plate, and beakie helmet). I currently have 62 beakies in company and another 8 setting on side.

Looking for opinions....

It sounds like a great idea. I tried to do this, but budget considerations meant that only one squad has the full MkVI armour, while another two squads simply have MkVI helmets.

crappy small picture, but 75 beakies in it, and at least30+ more to go (maybe more with beaky terminators)

I have a fair number of Beakies in my current SM build. But I'm going to rebuild my SM to eradicate Mk.7+ armour on any non-Tactical model. So I'll have squads in Mk.4, Mk.5, and Mk.6 for my army. It'll be awesome!

Hi Guys

If you want to save some cash i have loads of mk6 heads, shoulder pads and legs etc on my webstore, plus i will be adding the really old mk6 (RT01) space marine bits.

www.bitsandkits.co.uk

We ship worldwide for only $3 or free of charge for orders over $30 .

On a personal note, i wanted to do the same but with MK8 marines but gave up on the project because i couldnt convert the chest plates easy enough or get my hands on enough old metal MK8 marines.

As a fellow MK8 fan, I feel your pain!

I DO actually have quite a few MK8 armor suits, maybe not enough for a full company, but probably close, but the lack of variety in poses means it might look good as an "at rest" army and not much else...

Its plausible. A guy aI play with has an entire Dark Angels company in Beakie helmets. He got most of his from the people in the store by trade, or just giving them to him.

With the beakies, wouldn't you want everyone to have at least one studded shoulderpad?

I think it's a great idea. The world can always use more beakies!

It would definitely give the army a Rogue Trader feel, but I think that it would add a lot of character to the army. If you have the bits, I say go for it!

Sounds actually like a great idea. You could say it was right around the time everyone was being refitted with it if you ever needed to prove a point. And if you paint them well, it would look spectacular!

It's a great idea, I say go for it.

My current SW project has all of the Grey Hunters in Mk VI beakie helmets when they are wearing one. My Blood Claws are mostly wearing Mk VII helmets as they are the newer recruits.

I ended up putting together maybe 6-7,000 pts worth of beakies. The key was to assemble, paint and then sell a half dozen SM armies before hand with all mark7 helmets to get them! lol
