Ok. 750. That's a challenge.
HQ 1:
Company Command Squad: 96 Points
Doctrine: Iron Discipline (5)
Doctrine: Camoline Uniforms (10)
Colonel Lipmann (70)
Standard Bearer with Company Standard (11)
(I just don't like doing the JO/HI combo.)
And were this an 1850 list I'd say '
Fine, that's your choice, it's only 5 points'. But it's not 1850, and 5 points is more important at 750 than it is at 1850. Take the
JO w/Honorifica. Save yourself 5 points.
But the biggest problem here is the Cameleoline. Taking Special Equipment Doctrines is often cost prohibitive. This becomes even more apparent when you're playing the sub-1000 point lists. That said, you could be taking the 'MechInf' approach to Cameleoline, that is to say you have very few troops, so you're going to pay a bit of a premium and protect the troops you have as much as you can. This works well for MechInf (up to a point), so it
should also work for standard Guard force at 750. We'll see how you've spent it as we go.
But again, yeah,
JO w/Honorifica. You need every point you've got at this level.
Troops 1:
Platoon Command Squad: 95 Points
Doctrine: Iron Discipline (5)
Doctrine: Camoline Uniforms (10)
Junior Officer (40)
4 Plasma Guns (40)
Normally I'd say 'NO!' to a squad like this, mainly because this is your only other command unit. However, this is a 750 point game, meaning your army isn't exactly going to be 'spread out' for all to see, and I doubt you'll need more than one Leadership Bubble. For this reason, it's fine.
Obviously with Drop Troops you can drop this unit if need be, and given the types of vehicles you'll be facing at 750, the 4 Plasma Guns rapid firing should be able to annihilate the odd Predator or Dread that comes your way.
Infantry Squad: 95 Points
Doctrine: Camoline Uniforms (10)
Base (60)
Auto Cannon (15)
Plasma Gun (10)
Infantry Squad: 95 Points
Doctrine: Camoline Uniforms (10)
Base (60)
Auto Cannon (15)
Plasma Gun (10)
In a word - Perfect.
Troops 2:
Armored Fist Squad: 179 Points
Doctrine: Camoline Uniforms (10)
Base (60)
Plasma Gun (10)
Chimera (70)
Turret Multilaser (10)
Hull Heavy Bolter (5)
Extra Armor (5)
Dozer Blade (5)
Smoke (3)
Searchlight (1)
Hmm... you don't need the Light, the Smoke or the Dozer blade. That's 9 points you get back here. Plus the 4 you already have + the 5 for the
JO w/Honoifica, you've got yourself 18 points here.
Fast 1:
Sentinel: 53 Points
Base (35)
Auto Cannon (15)
Smoke (3)
Honestly would not take the Autocannon. Multi-Laser is the way to go here, through and through. First of all, it adds weight of fire with the Chimera, secondly, it makes it worth less points (saves you another 5). Finally I wouldn't bother with the Smoke either. That's 8 points saved, so we're at 26.
Heavy 1:
Basilisk: 133 Points
Base (100)
Indirect Fire (25)
Extra Armor (5)
Smoke (3)
What on earth are you buying EA and Smoke for a vehicle that should be out of
LOS? Why are you giving up a turn of fire to pop smoke? Another 8 points saved there, bringing us to 34 points, nearly 5% of your entire army.
I'm breaking the rule of 2 but I can't figure out how to fit a second Bassie in.
That's fine. Rule of 2 is difficult to apply to Guard once you get to 1000 and below because of just how expensive our compulsory choices are.
Ok, here your army is an an interesting crossroads. You've spent 50 points on Cameleoline, and have 34 points to spend. That's 84 points. Another Autocannon/Plasma Gun squad is 85 points.
You now have to go away and ask yourself the following question:
What is better - 30 men w/4+ Cover Saves or 40 men w/5+ Cover Saves?
Then the next question:
What is better - 3 Autocannons and 7 Plasma Guns or 4 Autocannons and 8 Plasma Guns?
And if you desperately cannot bring yourself to use the
JO w/Honoifica, then ditch the Extra Armour on the Chimera.
This is a good list, and it hits almost all the right notes, but you have important questions you must answer before it can be final.
I'll leave it at that.

Of course they can. What makes you think they can't?
