We went out in helmets as usual at about 4am, shot and bombed the gak out of the Taliban until they withdrew

, then on the way back to the FOB at about 8am, stopped short about a kilometer away, donned our Santa hats, and marched back through the market where all the civilians hang around as if we owned the place and merrily conduct the war with no fear of head injuries.
Its all about psyching them out!
