A few questions: Where did you get the heads for the conversion work, and primarily from which mark of power armour are you going to do the rest of the army in?

Why thank you my good man! I shall try to have something finished by the end of the month for my army
And which heads in particular, I've used a lot of different ones so far

A bit of progress on my sidetrack HH project, I finished Angron's display base minus the two guys being shredded

Major update! Rogal Dorn is ready to be painted! I finally got around to finishing the build and he is now awaiting his holy primer and gold and he will be ready to lead his legion, the mighty VIIth have been reunited with their lost gene sire.

First off a cool shot I got of him, when he's painted and I have some more legionaries for him to command I'll make a similar shot with him overlooking his sons

Hope you all enjoy him in his raw state, next up loads of gold.

The detail is just amazing - green stuff, etched brass, an eclectic selection of bits... looking forward to seeing Rogal in full colour!

The etched brass S shapes are very clever, as are the clips for the chains. It's a superb piece, but that in particular caught my attention. Sweet!

Well model pliers and patience my friend all the curls are made from brass jewelers wire

Frankly this is epic. What gold do you use, out of interest?

Really nice, I hope when FW do their own they do yours justice as it looks epic. Out of interest could we have a shot with him next to angron as i'd like to see the scaling between the two

Thanks I used a mix of VMC bronse and VMA gold over a brown basecoat, I then added VMA brass to the mix and made zenital highlights (all with airbrush) then I started systimatically washing the detail in sepia and brown wash

My God...Your Rogal Dorn is looking awesome mate. I like the Angron, but obviously that was sculpted by FW, prefer the Dorn you made yourself from scratch, but both are extremely well painted.

The blood is made by heating and manipulating some clear styrene over a naked flame to get the splurge look, then it's attached and covered in tamiya clear red.
I do really think Angron is one of the best models ever released, it's a must own really

I'm loving that blood geyser - really says something about the guy... (angron not TDA)
