Having a goddamn nightmare with these wings today... I normally paint them blue then highlight each feather with white but it always looks kinda... bad... so I've spent the best part of the day trying to make them look better to no avail. Now I'm painting them white and going over with a blue wash that I made myself... think I need to just buy a blue wash it'll probably look better other than that, I have number 4 pretty much finished xxx

Wash, and then another dry brush of white to help highlight

I would buy the GW one
Mixing it is one thing, making enough to use everytime you have to paint wings is another.

Also, GW is going to have a price increase tomorrow, so if your going to order anything, i'd do it today :(

Depends on what it is.
Some things are going up the odd 50p.

Kits that are around £21 are going to £25.
The storm raven for BA is going from £41 - £50!

Its going to come into effect starting tomorrow by all accounts, so ive just done over £300 again lol.

Thats what ive found, a mix of shoulders, heads and weapons mainly.

If you want the wings to look good, I'd suggest layering. It takes a long time compared to washing and drybrushing, but its always worth it. I'd use a medium blue to base the wings and then mix more and more white into the color as I build up the players (leaving something of the previous one showing through, until the last one is a line highlight with white)
You can use a thinned wash to blend the layers together properly....

lol, i usually use maelstrom games since they are bloody cheap.
But alot of the direct only stuff is more expensive, or the odd thing i want is out of stock, and delivery takes 2 weeks.

I order from GW and get everything i want in 2 working days lol.

I either order from Wayland Games or Dark Sphere for my GW stuff. and I don't order direct only stuff, but if I did, I'd get it straight from GW tbh.

Only problem with maelstrom is that i see the bane legions stuff and really start to hammer out money :(

I have seen the new price! Storm-Raven, aka Chibi-Hawk at 66USD! It is the flying Landraider! So I guess for bubble, that means to get one now will run you about 50pounds-sterling. IF you decided you wanted one. GW strikes again!
