Thank you YouWasShock, Aku Chan and Viterbi, your support is appreciated.

Have made a little more progress with my OBR, first up is the wonderfully named Gothizzar Harvester, this one was great fun to paint to the point that I may get another.

I also completed my 10 man Mortek Guard unit finished, it is good to have a full battleline unit painted up now:

Finally I revisited my Iron Golem Warcry warband, adding a further 2 members, so just 2 more left to paint now. Apologies for the poor pictures, it is so dark today that I have had to artificially light them and they just look odd.

Family photo:

That takes me up to 178 miniatures painted for the year so just another 22 left to get to my meagre target of 200 before the year is out. Thanks for looking.

Brilliant stuff, as always you're nailing the colour choice and tone of these forces.

Man. AoS is just a hotbed of some of the most irresponsible, outlandish fantasy design-gone-mad. And I pretty much love it. The Harvester looks great and the Iron Golem crew are sweet. You'll hit that 200 for sure.

Great work as ever! Nice subtle glow on the skelly-bobs, how did you achieve it?

@Paradigm: Cheers Para, you can rarely go wrong with purple and gold in my eyes.

@YouWasShock: It is a bit of a mental range, have you seen the obscenely big catapult? It is on a Knight base and is taller than one.

@Gobert: It is nice and easy, just mediumed down Hexwraith flame. The technical paints can be a real time saver if used correctly.

@Theo: Thank you Sir.

The following miniature is one of my favourite sculpts of the past year or so, and a friend was kind enough to pick it up for me from Warhammer fest. He has been sitting on the workbench in a half finished state for months so last night I bit the bullet and finished him off. I just swapped the head on him, but here is a lesser spotted Primaris Lieutenant for my Celestial Lions. Any name suggestions would be greatly appreciated:

I also started on my Liege Kavalos, he has a fair bit of work to go though:

Thanks for looking.

After a recount of what I have painted this year I am a little further along than I thought. These three, along with two miniatures that just went up on my Game Of Thrones thread, take me up to 190 for the year.

Apologies, once again, for the photography but the light at this time of year is awful so I have to artificially lighten them. Anyways...

First up is my Liege-Kavalos...I love this sculpt and hope that I have done it justice. Despite how it looks it was a lot of fun to paint:

I also finally completed my Iron Golem warband for Warcry, now these look a lot better in real life...honestly! Just glad to have gotten them done. I really like the red laquer armour done using Blood For The Blood God:

And here is the worst warband photo ever...huzzah!

Am definitely going to revisit these boys, and gals, and Dwarfs, for better photos in the future.

Avance!

Don't worry. We all know your IG look awesome. New bone guy, too. The splashes of green really stand out and add some unlife to all the bone.

Have made it to 200 up in the calendar year, so anything else I get done in the remainder of the month is just gravy.

So what got me there? First up is the Mortisan Soulreaper, he is a combined mage and combat machine, I was unsure of the miniature at first but have grown to like him. He was nice and easy to paint up as well:

I also painted up another 10 man unit of Mortek Guard, first up are a couple of my favourites and then the unit:

And here we have the 201 miniatures I have painted this year. It comprises of 4 game systems (ASOIAF, 40k, AOS, Warcry) and a number of different factions. Overall I am happy with the variety and also the general consistency of the paintwork I have done. It s just fun seeing them all together like this

Thanks for looking.

Cheers YWS, the most shocking thing to me is that I have painted one single and solidarity Death Guard miniature. I really have to rectify that in 2020. But yes, I am happy with my variety:

40k:
Death Guard
Chaos
Chaos Knights
Celestial Lions Space Marines (again I need to do more of these)
Genestealer Cult

AOS:
Ossiarch Bonereapers
Iron Golem
Chaotic Beasts

ASOIAF:
Starks
Lannisters
Free Folk
Neutrals
Nights Watch
Baratheons.

I think I may just finish the year with a couple of big miniatures, say a Chaos Knight or two and maybe some ASOIAF character models. As it is I am happy with how my hobby is going, everything is well organised and sorted. I am just hoping to increase my output next year.

I'm already impressed by your output and don't think you need to increase it at all, but am curious to see, what will be landing on your painting table!

That’s an impressive haul! Like Viterbi I think 200 is a great number especially when it includes a knight and some vehicles. I’m struggling to get to 100 for the year.

Really liking the bonereapers, the mage looks great!

Cheers gents, I was looking around the "to do" mountain and saw some GSC calling out to me.

First up is a Nexos, complete with holomap of the GW headquarters in Lenton:

I really like his face in this shot, it is very Davros like:

I also painted up a GSC Leman Russ with Exterminator autocannon, plasma cannons and a heavy flamer. For good measure the tank commander has some demolition charges in his hand ready to throw at any nearby enemies:

Back with my OBR I have painted up the insane Mortisan Soulmason, replete on his bird legged mobile throne. No idea what the miniature designers were smoking here but it is suitably bonkers:

I think that more GSC are up next for me, I have some WIP already done on a Brood Brothers Autocannon squad and my final Achilles Ridgerunner. Thanks for looking.

That nexos is cool, really like the GW Easter egg there with their facility as the objective.

Yeah that OBR thing is strange. It remind s me of the floaty platform of the Slaan....just with extra chicken legs.

Just popping in to wish a Merry Winterval to everyone. Was a very lucky warhammer this year with a surfeit of Ossiarch Bone Reapers (and Ogres) received for Christmas this year. Namely :

The two Feast of Bones were a real surprise, and I am chomping at the bit to work on Katakros as soon as I can.

I also plan on severely reducing my miniature spending next year, so plan to do a post on hobby resolutions coming up for the New Year.

Anyway, thanks for looking. I hope that you were all equally lucky.

@Theophony: Yes, scratch up 20 Mortek Guard, 4 Harbingers and 6 more bone constructs, plus 2 Volkmortian's, for the Bone boys. Currently undecided whether to start on Ogors or sell them off. I will certainly be keeping one of the new big character models.

@Viterbi: He certainly is, hopefully you will like the next update.

GSC wise I just got a unit of 3x Heavy Weapons teams in this case. Only 48pts in game terms but always useful to add some more heavy support to the Cult, this time in the form of autocannons. Miniature wise these are just the standard Cadian models with a couple of non crouching models added and some GSC upgrade sprue heads and symbols added. Completely adequate paint job on these, the old Cadian models are really showing their age.

That takes me up to 208 minis painted for the year, probably my final total due to this bad boy...

*insert booming and dramatic movie trailer voice "Katakros Mortarch Of The Necropolis"*.

First up I got his base done, a couple of the bare spots are where his attendants will be glued on. Nothing dramatic here, just a black undercoat followed by progressive skaneblight dinge, dawnstone, administratum grey and white drybrushes. The bones were skeleton horde over wraithbone, and the bottles athermatic blue over wraithbone. Add a bit of jade flooring, metallic elements and blood and Bob is your Uncle:

Here is also some early WIP on Katakros himself. Am very happy with how his main bone construct body has come out. Simply mediumed down Athermatic blue over wraithbone. But still plenty of details to complete before the model is done.

Thoughts and comments welcome:

Thanks for looking.

You are right, love this update
Base has a lot of nice details and the WIP of the big man is already looking good. May steal your Aethermatic Blue idea, when I start work on my first Bonereapers, although that may be some time off.

First miniature of the year done, Katakros Mortarch Of The Necropolis. I can see why this was voted as #2 in Warhammer Community's miniatures of the year.
