They REALLY didn't think a lot about naming one of the sectorials Assault Sub-Section, did they?

well it is subsection not sub-section so it should be abbreviated "AS" not "ASS", but were would be the fun in that?

And the Steel Phallus sectorial, at that!

Mask posted up a better picture of the Thorakitai.

SMG, Combi Rifle, Feuerbach(FINALLY), and HMG.

That means there's no Chain Rifle model, Marksman Rifle model, or Light Rocket Launcher model.

I'm feeling better about speculating on a new Steel Phalanx starter.

Yes, they are. So is the Combi Rifle.

The reason we get these boxes is to add in profiles that aren't present. The Combi Rifle has a model in the same boxed set you're pointing at.
The renders shown do not have a Marksman Rifle but do have a Combi Rifle, Feuerbach, and HMG ergo my comment about "feeling better about speculating on a new Steel Phalanx starter".

One of the Aristeia designers has been active on the BGG Aristeia board. He confirmed in a post today that multiplayer expansions are coming.

I had seen speculation about this, but this is the first time I've seen it confirmed.

Ahem. David Rosillo is known as Palanka on the official forums, IIRC. And a Nomads player, obviously.

I seem to have forgotten my user name on BGG. It has been so long since I logged in over there. Somebody ask him if there will be a 3 player version. The comments were about a 2 player v 2 player version.

Got my Szalamandra today. No pictures as it's a Christmas present for myself from myself(Merry Christmas self! ), but pretty impressed by the model.

The body is basically one piece. The legs are attached to the torso, the head is attached to the torso, but then there's the arms separate along with the footpads and the weapons. The HMRC is two pieces(one piece is the rear half of the gun attached to the firing arm. It splits right in front of the 'light' there. The second part is the barrel of the weapon itself). There's the arm separate that is used to steady the gun. The HFT is all a one piece assembly.

The footpads and the 'reflector panels' are in a baggy along with the slave arms.

The most interesting part to me was the little markers on the tabs. Link Leader(????!?!?!), Unconscious, Prone, and Wound.

Don't get too excited. Half the squad boxes I've bought don't have Link Leader markers.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

I've smuggled a list of upcoming releases out for January.

And by that I mean a local shop put preorders up.
Thorakitai(ALEPH box)
Charontid with Plasma Rifle(Combined Army blister)
Highlanders Grey with HMG(Ariadna blister--Beasts of War had a preview up but it's only a video)
War Correspondent with Stun Pistol(Mercenaries blister)
Die Morlock Gruppe (Nomad Box set--it's marked as "2018 edition" so looks like new Morlocks!)
Croc Men (PanOceania blister of Hacker and Boarding Shotgun--can't tell if repacks or new)
Igao (Tohaa blister; repack)

Well... you can never have too many Morlock's I suppose. I quite like the existing ones, but I'm sure the new sculpts will have me running out to buy more. At least they're AVA:T.

A single Highlander Grey when people have been shouting out for a box for years is weak as.

It's a Highlander Grey with two arm sets. That's a big deal. As in, two actually different sets of arms.
He can have his claymore pointing into the ground with his HMG in the other hand or be aiming+firing his HMG.

Between the Highlander starter set's T2 Rifle model and the AP HMG guy, you're now looking at the ability to make a few distinctly different models. The AP HMG being in a blister doesn't necessarily keep a box from happening though.
-T2 Boarding Shotgun
-Generic Claymore wielding Grey with no weapon up
-Rifle model

You know that the Highlander starter set with the T2 rifle is pretty new, correct?
The only one I can think of that will "look like a hobbit compared to the other two" is in the basic Ariadna starter set...which I don't expect to remain the same for contents because we know the Russkie Sectorial is coming out next year.

This is the new Highlander starter. The T2 Rifle model for the Highlander Greys is in between the riflewoman Volunteer and the Paramedic Volunteer.
I don't see any scale issue existing between this Grey and the new one that BoW previewed.

The one I'd be concerned about is the Mormaer with HMG, Scots-Guard, and Wulvers, but the Wulvers were considered large when they came out so should be okay.

Just a bit cranky because no Hospitaller box.

OTOH, new Morlocks. Interesting... Anyone seen renders? (Please no more 'shout-outs' to comic book characters. One sufficed.)

Oh, uhm, not impressed with the Highlander Gray, except to see the arm options in it. Now to start including a weapon choice, like with the Guarda de Assalto. ( and a resculpt of that mini would be most welcomed.)

Druze Bayram Security Article
One of the news from December that got the attention of many Infinity players was the Druze Shock Teams box. There are various explanations for the interest in this unit apart from its awesome factor, the quality of their miniatures or the black legend that hides behind them. Whatever the reason, it is time to proudly present the Druze Bayram Security Sectorial!
The Druze Society is probably the most powerful criminal organization within Submondo, the international mafia entity that reaches all across the Human Sphere. The unmeasured use of unparalleled violence and their keen sense for business, reaching success with their companies used as a front to cover their illegal activities are the factors that have taken them to the top of Submondo’s inner circle.
With their appearance in Outrage, the incredible comic by Kenny Ruiz and Víctor Santos, we discovered more about the inner workings of this society and saw them in action. This fact made our interest in these criminals grow, and not only to know more details about their organization, but also to see them full throttle on the table and play with the Druze Bayram Security.
Until the so-called Knauf case, which put a Hexahedron agent inside the organization in order to bring down their operation and activities, information about the Druze Society was based on incomplete and partial reports that did not provide with any relevant data. Despite this, no intelligence service in the Human Sphere has doubts about the depth of their ramifications and influences on the global economy. Even though there are still many details from this corrupt intrigue, and it is really difficult to determine the real extent of their criminal activities.
The Druze not only have a very interesting background, they also provide a new Sectorial Army list that we are going to go through now, so you can take the most of them in your gaming tables.
What does the new Sectorial bring?

Improvements and added gear to the Shock Teams
Brawlers, Mercenary Enforcers
Security Chief Arslan
Bashi Bazouks and Hunzakuts
Valerya, Saito, Armand, Scarface and Cordelia

The Bayram Security Team presents itself as a small merc company inside the Druze Society. Its core and most lethal asset are the Shock Teams. This is our main attack force. Bringing everything we need to the list and for our game plan. Also we can form Fireteam: Duo, Haris or Core with them, which gives a lot of versatility to our lists.

Also, the Druze have gone through a small modification on their profile, which makes them even more lethal. Improving their CC and earning the Special Skills Lethality L1 and Veteran L1 which will make them a very scary and respected troop.

One of the new additions to their weaponry is the MULTI Sniper Rifle, which without any doubt, will be an option to have in mind when we form Defensive Fireteams. The Jethro miniature, available in the Outrage Box Set, is the perfect mini to represent this option. Who better than him to represent the ultimate Druze Sniper?
With the release of this Sectorial, we will also see a new addition to the Infinity Universe: The Brawlers, Mercenary Enforcers. A profile that we will hear about in the future. They are an ideal troop to complement the Druze Fireteam: Core, thanks to their different Specialist options or their Multispectral Visor L2. Also the Brawler Infinity Spec-Ops will be our Spec-Ops if we play a campaign with this sectorial.

Another new face that we will see in this Sectorial is Chief Security Arslan. We will speak not only about his profile, but also what he is doing with the Druze Bayram Security.
After what happened with the Knauf case and his promotion to Security Chief of the Bayram Caravansary, the mercenary activities of the Druze Shock Teams have expanded remarkably. As head of the Security group of the Bayram Caravansary, Arslan was responsible for drawing from the local talent on Bourak and within the Bounty Hunter circuit, to have access to varied profiles that complement their Shock Teams.

This is the reason why we have in our lists the support of the Bashi Bazouks and also the Hunzakuts. Thanks to them we will have a few aces up our sleeves in order to give more than one unpleasant surprise to our opponent.

Also, the Druze Bayram Security counts with the presence of five very famous faces that complement the team in the best way possible: Valerya, Saito, Armand, Scarface and Cordelia, they are the flush of enlisted mercenary stars. No doubt that you will have to think twice before facing this security force.
Druze Bayram Security gives us Saito Tōgan as a Specialist Operative, completely new and exclusive to this Sectorial, which turns this mercenary ninja into an asset that everyone will envy.

As usual, Armand will provide us with long range support. However, Valerya Gromoz’s combat behavior is different, as she can join any Fireteam of this Sectorial, which allows use of her skills where we need them the most.

Another Fireteam that we can observe and, without any doubt stands out, is the Fireteam: Duo formed by Scarface and Cordelia, Armored Mercenary Team. An option with a lot of synergy, because Scarface will help Cordelia advance and accomplish missions, as the attack force. While Cordelia will come in handy when Scarface needs some impromptu repairs. It is also ideal to keep Scarface in check by controlling his Frenzy.

And if Scarface’s fire support wasn’t enough, we have the Anaconda at our disposal with a slight tweak to their configuration that will make it have a lot more punching power.

Apart from a way array of PanOceanian Remotes that will add extra tactical capabilities to our lists.
Now is the time to drop the theory and paper and take the practice to the gaming tables with the new and powerful Druze Bayram Security and show that when they hit the first time, there is no time for the second one.

Download now the new profiles of the Sectorial. Druze Shock Teams.

Stating the obvious maybe, but it seems like they designed this sectorial specifically to give the Outrage box something to do; namely proxy half the army. Uhahu can be Valyera Gromoz, Nakadai for Saito Togan, they specifically call out Jethro as a Druze Sniper (or Armand Le Meut, I guess), Beba technically IS an Anaconda pilot, Emily could be Security Chief Arslan I suppose, and, heck, call Domovoi a Brawler.

Beba doesn't have the weapons to be an Anaconda Pilot. Nor does Emily.

There's only two that really work there and that's Jethro and Saito. I wouldn't be surprised to, at some point, see a Druze MSR come out since there also is no generic Combi-Rifle model for them once the previous boxed set is no longer sold.

Beba has a pistol on the model, Anaconda pilot has a pistol in the profile, so she's a good enough generic proxy. On Emily as Arslan I'd agree with you though and lean towards no if only because it's such a big difference in what they represent(I'd allow her as a Locust or Hexa in PanO though because she's similar enough IMO)

The Anaconda includes an Operator model. There's no need for a proxy. I can't see anyone buying an Anaconda without the Operator model.
