The next Forgeworld book will be Imperial Armour - Model Masterclass. A very detailed book as to how to paint and model your vehicles. This is actually a must buy book, and for the first time every, will advertise the use on non GW products, such as MIG Paints and weathering pastels, and different Primers to use. Due out in a few months time.

"First time ever" for FW you mean? Back when I bought WD they would advise using non-GW stuff regularly. Regardless, I might buy this book, depending on reviews (though I guess there are comparable books out there that could be better or cheaper).

Sounds good,
nice to see that the models are not the only thing that they are thinking about.

Question: Will it be as insanely priced as the other books that they bring out (ALA other imperial armours)

I am so not paying 80 pounds for hint to painting!!

why do you say a FW book on how to paint and model your FW stuff is a must buy? According to the other 8 posts you've made, they never have anything in stock... so what's the point in knowing how to model and paint something you can't get?

it must be true.. there's no cure for the common fanboy.

Your assuming that Forgeworld are the only models I paint. I'm hoping to start on 2 Gundam Perfect Grade kits soon

Yea, learning tricks to painting helps you paint all your mini's, not just your FW mini's.
I should have thought that obvious beyond need for Squiq to point out he doesn't intend to use it just for FW models.

I might pick this up too. The old "How to Paint Citadel Miniatures" was a good reference for the hermit who doesn't necessarily travel to events to take classes, with lots of different styles and techniques discussed.

Considering the quality of FW's display models, this book has the potential to be very interesting. Of course, it'll have to compete with similar books done for the historical model crowd.

The supply does not get to make the demands.

The FW book really does sound interesting to me. It could definitely be a great resource. I'll be keeping an eye out for it.
