Hey guys,

http://us.games-workshop.com/games/40k/apocalypse/gaming/datasheets/default.htm

I'm not too familiar with the model but I think it's Epic. I might make this Scout Titan for my Emperor's Children force but I'm not sure how to go about it. Right now, I have a spare Defiler kit and a bunch of plasticard but I'm not sure how to really get the height right.

I considered combining two Defiler kits, but I was planning on making an actual Defiler also. I may stand the body vertically and make two thicker legs out of the Defiler legs, or claws, but don't know if it will look right at all.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Help? Thanks!

its about half the size of a warhound, so if you make a standing defiler it should work. (here is an example of mine.)

i might not use the defiler kit at all (maybe for weapons) reason being, the defiler has a much different look than the titans, too many wires, not enough armour imo.

also there are alot of curved surfaces, which the defiler has very few of.

on the plus side, it seems as if the model is really just two legs and across piece. First thing i would do is build a very rough skeletal structure, probably from balsa wood or some other light wieght material. Youll probably then want to use a epoxy two part resin to round out and fill the shape(using more balsa wood or foamcore to keep it light wieght).

after that i would use green stuff for the fine details.

i dont really have any suggestions for the weapons, or claws, but the above is probably how i will do my khorne titan.
also you might wanna try to look for paper templates on yahoos groups or something.

Well, if you have the money I know of an easy way. Go on ebay and find an old Armorcast Eldar Reverant titan, as it has the general shape. You could use the body and legs. Loose the pulsars, glue on some Defiler claws and a couple cannons, then greenstuff the heck out of it to make it look human and Chaotic.

Actually, since the newer Forgeworld Warhound is a little larger in scale then the old armorcast one, nobody would probably complain if you made it into a subjugator. I'm also not sure that it really is all that much smaller than a warhound in epic scale anyway. The warhound and the subjugator are both classified as Scout titans right?
