After reading all over the internet about how bad Daemonhunter allies are considered to be, I thought I'd try to cook up a strictly IG list for the army I'm putting together. So far just got 2 Russes and the two Infantry Platoons in the process of being painted, so anything other than those are open to interpretation.

Basically the Platoons shoot everything bigger than a terminator, the Russes take all the enemy firepower on their AV14 hulls and throw out 3 ordenance templates per turn, and the conscripts hold up any scary looking close combat units for a turn or two, or distract whirlwinds. The veterans have plasma instead of meltas to be more versatile. If the mission allows deep-strik they can go for enemy rear armour at S7 v AV10 hopefully, which with 3 BS4 shots should be pretty damaging. If they need to infiltrate they can set up in a forward position and try for Rhino equivalents, or whatever comes out of any transports the platoons crack. If they get to rapid fire, then all the better.
Still got 187 points left, and no counter-assault or mobility, so I was hoping someone could give me ideas. Possibly Inquistor in a Rhino? Canoness and Celestians in Immolator? I hate the rough rider models, so any alternative to those would be ideal.
Cheers
