Hey y'all, I finally have a computer and a camera, so I figured it was about time to start posting on dakka again. Anyhoo, here is a pic of the six marines I have actually finished, I just wanted to get some ideas on what people though about the scheme. It's nothing too fancy, but I think they turned out pretty nice. There's a lot more in the gallery on my site, if you want to see such things.

You say you've only got 6 finished? Were these guys just a color scheme test on different units?

Awww, I'm glad you guys remember me. Thanks for all the kind words, it's always good when people don't think your stuff is terrible, lol! Although the 12.1MP camera makes me wanna really pay attention to my brushstrokes... it picks out every little horrid mistake I make!

These aren't test models, that dude got put in the trash! But I wanted to paint a few different models so my opponent could get a feel for the army, even if it will be painfully slow to paint them all. Cuz I am the biggest procrastinator ever.

In other news, you style is remarkable. Very clean, but only one highlight. I get the feeling these are 'tabletop' quality minis for you and you're capable of much better. Am I right?

Cypher037: Well, yes and no. I can do all sorts of painting stuff, but I hate the time I have to invest in it. even this level feels to long for me. So I am generally happy with tabletop quality stuff, just because they get finished quicker. i have done some models in the past that look really great, but take sooooo long, that it isn't worth it for me, and painting it probably the least favorite part of the hobby for me. i like the results, just not the effort!

Malfred, I might be tempted to do any army profile, but I think I would like to get a couple of squads painted first, lol! Maybe that can be my inspiration!

These have a very clean look, and I think they are the perfect balance for SM table top models. Can you put up an army pic? That is when this style looks really nice since the highlights pop at a distance.
