How do you all think about putting miniatures on other size bases?

Example, I order some resin 30mm bases for my Ultramarines?

Is it also ok to put you're characters on 40mm bases?

In the thread on the new rulebook, I think someone said something about models only being allowed on the bases they came with. Nothing more, nothing less. So if you plan on playing in tournaments, stick to the regular bases.

If, however, you're just playing with friends, I would think they wouldn't mind different bases. Just don't go crazy. A single grot on a 60mm base might be overkill (though a mob of them each on 60mm would be a sight!).
