heres the "Emperor" mini I just finished (or "The Baron" as he was sold )

I got this from Roll Jordans site, I'm happy with how its come out, I'm thinking about a custodians force based on grey knights.

Sword needs more burney, but other than that he's fine

hmmm, maybe. I've put a blue shimmer along it as a "power" weapon. Do you think it would be better flaming?

Well, you can see a bit of the blue and i must say i like it. Its fine to have a rather "normal"looking sword if you ask me.

In the far future theres is only war and flaming swords? Meh, I´ll pass.

A more 'burny' sword would bring the composition together more. Again, it's all in the colors you've used up to that point. I've been championing the use of 'limited palette' as of late as a way to help models come together and look more coherent. My thoughts on power weapons has some more on this exact subject.

Overall though, the model looks great. I'd like to see some closer photos to help give you some better comments/crits.

Burny. Goes with the hues you've already established on the model. A little green stuff, and not too wild on the flames. Regardless, awesome model.

how about i meet you half way and change it to a red shimmer? i'd just be worried it might look like a crappy blood effect. I dont like the idea of flames.

I'll get a better pic taken and post a larger image, my naff camera makes all my minis look terrible.

I quite like the sword as it is. I don't think adding flames or a flame effect would be necessary.

It was $40 so about £20. It also included 2 more pairs of arm options (thunderhammer/shield, storm bolter/left handed sword) and a helmeted head option. The spare bits have made a couple of great marine commanders.

Then for some reason the seller sent me 2!

This is a great model but i think in my opinion that he need terminator armour and some sort of halo but thats just a image of the emperor. Great job!
