Quite a nice colour scheme, but I would make the green much darker I think - make it much closer to black with some sharp highlights and then it will match the rest of your colourscheme.a bit better.

I would probably just paint your genestealers in pretty much the same way... black with blue on the edge of the carapace. Leaving the head black with painted tongue, teeth and eyes would be quite effective.

Other changes I might make to your overall scheme would be making the carapace look a bit more distinct. The easiest way to do this effectively would possibly be to apply gloss varnish to it, but I would do a test mini first to see how it looks as it might overpower the rest of the colourscheme a bit. I would also add some level of blending to the spikes and claws just so that they stand out a little bit more. Nothing too special, just blend them towards a lighter colour like grey at the points.

looks a bit plain mate. Not much variation
Looks like a chaos black undercoat with a few bits of trim painted and thats it.
If you want to keep your models black then add some highlight to the black.
I find a good textured black is codex base coat with a drenching of the new black wash.
Some impresive hive ships though. The first one looks fantastic!

black with the light blue trim so they match. If they are a horde army they will look a little less plain. However if you have a sell painted horde army it will look incredible all the time.

What about keeping the color palette, but going the opposite direction with the 'stealers - instead of being primarily dark with light accents, make them primarily light with dark accents.

In Hell, and it's HOT!!!!

Actually, i might be going way off track but i have a pretty cool idea for a scheme for your genestealers.

Base paint- A very dark silver

2nd coat - a midnight black

trims - the original blue and purple colors

If this isnt a good tyranid scheme i think it would be awesome on a SM army In my opinion

So you are saying to reverse build up the collors that i used for the main models?

I´m with Legoburner on the varnish. Gloss varnishing the chitin parts of your nids might help the army look more "real".

It will also help the armored parts stand out more. Black is the color I´ve had the most trouble with, as far as getting depth... Which is why i´ve scratched my Deathwatch marines for the time being... :(
