Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil

No, he just wants to do something different. Many in the group he plays with were just learning to read when 3rd ed came out.

That's okay. Boy should know his history before he goes and plays something worthwhile like Warmachine

its all good. i began playing when this list was bran spanking new. never played it cuz it took a finesse that my 12 year old mind couldnt comprehend.

also, SteveW isnt kidding (he plays at the same FLGS that i do), most of the kids (and i mean kids) that are at my FLGS are about 4 years younger than i am (and im only 17).

@ syr8766: ive dabbled in Warmachine. have to say that i didnt like it. the minis are SWEET, but i really didnt like how the actual mechanics of the game ran. a personal thing, but my opinion none the less.

@ all: i found me a copy of these rules so this thread can be closed now, if a Mod would be so kind as to do that.

peace out!

beware, that list is pure dirt. I used it vs catachans using jungle fighting rules and still slaughtered him.

Of course, when I saw this post title, I thought it was an old boy asking for the 2nd Ed rules.

"The last known instance of common sense happened at a GT. A player tried to use the 'common sense' argument vs. Mauleed to justify his turbo-boosted bikes getting a saving throw vs. Psycannons. The player's resulting psychic death scream erased common sense from the minds of 40k players everywhere. " - Ozymandias
