Subject: Non Horde Orks for 5th- ideas?

Here's my conundrum. I want to run an effective ork army that doesn't involve a massive infantry horde. With the changes to combat, fast vehicles and area terrain in 5th, not to mention Kill Points, my old trukk horde looks a lot less good. (I'm gonna try about 6 games with it, just to thoroughly make sure).
So I'm thinking battlewagons might be the way to go. Here's an idea, based mostly on what I have "in stock".
HQ:
Warboss on bike with powerklaw and attack squig (140) -You can't argue it's utility and killing power.
Big Mek with kustom force field (85) - 4+ Saves for tanks are gooooooood.
Elites:
6 Kommandos with powerklaw nob (95) - Tank hunting from the rear. Also, I couldn't really think of anything better to spend 95 points on. I'm open to suggestions?
Troops:
19 Shoota Boys, Big Shoota, Powerklaw Nob with Bosspole (159) - Big Mek Goes 'Ere.
20 Slugga Boys, 2 Rokkits, Powerklaw Nob with Bosspole (180) - For hitting stuff
20 Shoota Boys, 2 Big Shootas, Powerklaw Nob with Bosspole (170) - With cover more abundant and the changes to vehicles, I think big shootas are a better buy now and tanks are better killed up close.
Fast Attack:
20 Stormboys, Powerklaw Nob with bosspole (280) - Hide behind a battlewagon and pounce on something juicy.
Heavy Support:
Battlewagon with deff rolla, armour plates and 2 big shootas (130) -transport boyz and tank shock people off objectives.
Battlewagon with deff rolla, armour plates and 2 big shootas (130)
Battlewagon with deff rolla, armour plates and 2 big shootas (130)
What do you think? It's not exactly uber. It's what I could come up with with the models in my collection though. Could you do better at 1500?

Your anti-tank is dismal --even for orks. Get some rokkit buggies instead of the komandos. Just because powerclaws are ork's best anti-tank does not mean that you don't need any long ranged AT pressure. With only two rokkits in the entire list fast vehicles will have a heyday. Not to mention the security you give to regular tanks in the early turns of the game.

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism." -Hermann Goering (high ranking Nazi)

I can see your point, but rokkit buggies are sorta easy to kill, and not that good at tank killing (BS2 S8 isn't really that scary for tanks).
The battlewagons are reasonably good tank killers due to the deff rolla if they can get close enough. And the warboss's main job will be tank hunting. Most lists are going to have 3 hard tanks, max. So I hope I can handle it. I never used to kill anything with rokkits before, but the lack of shakes and stuns could be scarier than I'm anticipating I suppose.
I'll give both the buggies and koptas a go though. I'll have some kopta models after Black Reach.

maybe a shoota/skorcha for the boss. that one heavy flamer could make a infantrysquad go byebye. I am going to try it in a few weeks (after the vacations) and see if it works, but on paper it's 5 points well spend.
The commando's I would also drop. I would probably take lobba's instead (yeahyeah, laugh at me why don't you...) with the changes to blasts they can make an infantrymob be very unhappy... (or completely miss, but for the points they are worth...)
edit, oh damn, lobbas are heavy and that is packed... some eavy armour orks maybe, or maybe a few bikes to protect the boss...

I wouldn't bank on this because alot of opponents will disagree with you in regards to whether you can use the deff rolla when ramming or not.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

I'll definitely give them a go once I get the copta models.
Drunkspleen: It comes into play when you tank shock, and you can tank shock vehicles as long as the armour you're hitting is lower than your own armour. Unless that has changed in 5th somehow.
LordRavurion: Yeah I might give the scorcha a go. I used to use it back with the old codex.
The kommandos are sorta there because I like the models. The buggies or koptas are certainly an option.

Actually after reading around, it looks like the big mek is out. He can't sit in a battlewagon and still give cover saves, so he's kinda redundant in a mechanised force.
Booo!
If I drop out the kommandos and the mek, I gain enough points for a trukk full of meganobs. More klaws for the tank hunting, and another speedy unit.
Alternatively I could go for 3 rokkit toting deffkoptas with one buzzsaw. Similarly fast, more dangerous at range, and still decent in close. (Not awesome though).
