What do you reckon should be the 40k theme song? I reckon Man O war's "warriors of the world unite" would be most appropriate!!! For space marines and the imperium anyway.

WE ARE WARRIORS!!! WARRIORS OF THE WORLD!!!!

I heart SYR 8766

For all your bravado, if the US Army decided to invade, Wisconsin is it?, in force supported by a heavy bombing campaign for the month before, weeks of shelling from battleships on Lake Superior, and a full tank thrust (crushing the cows beneath the treads), I don't think that your .22 is going to make much of a difference really... Asmodai (my new hero)

At some point these sorts of decision-making skills lump you into the same camp as the Lehman Brothers, the White Star Line shipping company, and mothers who smoke during pregnancy.

Oh the tragedy of youth! I mourn the loss of good music buried under the commercially driven environment that has become the modern music industry. Such industry, the nature of which is to produce as much product as possible and hope there are enough buyers to support it, does not necessarily produce quality product. Monkeys with typewriters don't write Shakespeare, they accidentally reproduce it given enough time.

That being said, I'll go with almost anything from Rage Against the Machine to represent the war-torn galaxy of 40K... ah such rebellious angst!

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

In all honesty, I was more poking fun at the state of hundreds of 40k armies

Not to say the Stones don't rock the house, but lots of (earlier) Rammstein and the album MDFMK get my CSM rabblerousing hearts pumping.

For all things Imperial, Space Marine, and Chaos, I'd submit "Disposable Heroes" by Metallica as their theme-song. Old-school Metallica there, is good stuffs.

"Wheels within wheels, in a spiral array, a pattern so grand and complex.
Time after time we lose sight of the way, our causes can't see their effects."

BROTHERS EVERYWHERE, RAISE YOUR ARMS INTO THE AIR!

That's a riot! I actually found that song and used it as the general introduction for a big Apocalypse battle I did with my friends a few months ago.

I reckon the Starship Troopers themesong is about the most fitting as far as cinematic music goes.

I'll second that... I vaguely remember back in the early 90's a friend told me there was a heavy metal band that actually used 40K as inspiration for it's lyrics. Not great talent, but appropriate nonetheless.

Woah, hey now, that comment better not have been about Man O War.

Yes, they are butt rock.

Yes, they are lame.

But they also got !Orson Wells! on their albums, and they do kick ass, (In that special way that only butt-rockers can.)

There's a special way to appreciate bands like Megadeth and Man O War, which incorporates a full comprehension of their musical/lyrical shortcomings into the greater picture of just how awesome they are.
