The miniatures are awesome, but the prices might stop you from your IG proxy dreams!

Good thing Infinity is a skirmish based game!

Wow. They out-Tau'ed the Tau. With the right colors (which these aren't), you could really have a great looking force. That SAS trooper would make a good assasin figure, but for a 40k assasin he would need a more impressive HTH weapon (no self-respecting Eversor...)

Wow, with each month this game is looking better and better! The SAS guy is really cool and the Yu Jing soldier is pretty tight too....must resist yet another game...

You know, with a little green stuff, and some good knife work that ariadna model would make an awesom Solid Snake conversion.

They totally out-Tau'ed the Tau, but then, that's not actually that difficult. I think the Karmans from AT-43 out-Tau the Tau, too, and they're cigar-smoking apes.

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

You know I´m using the Yu´s ninjas as harlies, they look better than GW´s space clowns for elite troops.

I forgot that I also switched out the eggplant head for a true meka even if it´s smaller that the official one.

A good solid batch this month, though the Meteor Zond looks like it will be a heavy chunk of metal.

It's a pity the UKP has tanked against the Euro. These figures are about 20% more expensive than a year ago.

Can't belive you guys are using these miniatures as proxys for WH40K....dump your Codexes and get the Infinity games rules......

I must have said (typed) this in about a dozen posts, but what these guys could teach Citadel about posing miniatures.....the Yu Jing Ninjas, this SAS trooper and many more, all have dynamic and realistic poses.....theres very few Infinity miniatures with the Punching the air pose so oft used by GW.

That being said Delephont, the Rasyat would make a most killy Warp Spider (Phoenix Lord perhaps...?)!

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Not a lot of screaming going on over there too.

And apparently they've discovered a cure for baldness as well.

I need to find a group of Infinity players in my area. I really, really want to get into this game.

But, when you go over to the official forums, the amount of acronyms and insider terminology getting thrown around is a bit daunting.

It definitely looks like a game that you need to get a walkthrough/demo on to get a good foundation built before plunging in too deep.

I've no idea what faction I'd really like to play, and the prices (as mentioned before!) don't allow for many mistakes.

Yes, totally realistic poses, not like GW's silly poses at all.

Sorry for all those links, but it really bugs me when people claim Infinity is realistic with poses like these, the fact that nearly every female model has high heels or a bare midriff, and the Panoceania weapon design. Seriously, those weapons are functionally idiotic.

For a good example of what I mean about the female design, take a look at the female Kazak. Her pants are so low it looks like she's wearing assless chaps and a thong. I'm certainly not a prude, but this kind of design panders only to those who have wet dreams about their metal soldiers.

Keep in mind that this is coming from a guy who owns nearly all the Nomad stuff and a good bit of Ariadna stuff.

Dude ~ she's totally HAWT!!!!11!!

Point taken!

Still, I think the point was that when GW attempts to do "dynamic" it usually comes across as "stupid".

At least most of the Infinity stuff looks rather 'cool' vs. Hyper Dancing Death Bunny of Khorne, if you know what I mean.

You're right. They should do miniature sci fi games more like live action sci-fi, which never contains fanservice or female actors wearing...

wait...

Man, that's the joy of Anime! To revel in the complete and utter wastefullness of making an unstoppable nuclear-powered combat andriod in the shape of a cute little girl, who has the ability to fall in love and wears an enormous bow in her hair.

I agree about the Pan Oceania weapon design. The backwards bending banana clips kept me off what is otherwise a pretty decent looking bunch of SF figures.
