Ok this Jetbike is going to be for my HQ (so Autarch, Farseer and Warlocks) so replacing my stand in Guardian jetbikes (basicly an arm swapped off and a cc weapon stuck on and or a gun for the Autarch). I'd waited a while as I've had other models on the go but now I'm ready for some more conversion.

my only goal in the design was to make a jetbike that the user really can use both arms and ride ... and i came up with some thing quite mad, put the driver at the front and make him steer with his legs ... picture below are quick mock ups and only 70% correct but people will be able to get the idea better then if i say the love child of a SM Jump Pack and a Crisis Battlesuit

so what do you need to imagine? First i think the engines are a bit chunky and it need thinning ... robes (Farseer and Warlocks), flags (Autarch) flowing behind ... the blob at the top is TL shuriken catapult on a turret (Autarch version adds a weapon in the middle)and it might need some vents or fins on the legs

red box show rough size of a normal jetbike (though it is sided on)

so what do i want to know? First off do you like it? and well any redesigns that you think would make it look better

Thanks for reading. Tri ^_^

Perhaps if you had the pilot laying face down. (The jet bike would essentially look like a huge jump pack)
Conversely you could have the pilot in a sitting position which would give it more of a gyro copter look.

Agree with blackmoor. I thought about kitbashing warwalkers as a similar idea a while back, but the cost and logistics of making if feasible I couldn't wrap my head around to be as aesthetically pleasing as I would have liked.

No. There is nothing about those pics that even remotely resembles anything that remotely resembles Eldar. Back to the drawing board, my friend.

I think we should wait for a prototype rather than a computer sketch to say things like that. I for one liked the concept and would like to see it executed before I can say if it's good or bad.

Start with this model for your conversion. And go from there.

Indeed. Nothing says, "Eldar" like some other company's model that looks nothing like an Eldar model.

It looks similar to the basic idea made in the original post, and some of those AT43 models make good conversions for 40k. I have seen some bad ass sentinels made from red blok colossus.

Forgive me, but I didn't say the concept was bad. I said it isn't remotely "Eldar".

The new Wraithlord looks a LOT like its predecessors. It looks different, yes, but there is a glaringly obvious evolution in the design of the model.

What I was trying to say was that your concept art looked nothing like an Eldar vehicle. It looks like nothing in the current range of Eldar vehicles that, while different, share many aesthetic characteristics. Your proposed jetbike doesn't share anything in common with the current ranges other than being tagged as "Eldar." If it shared more of the classic "Eldar" characteristics, if you could look at it and trace some sort of evolutionary "paper trail" as it were, I could buy into it. As it stands now, I cannot see that being created by a Bonesinger.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I agree with ghidorah, I dont think the concept looks Eldar at all.

You could have a sleeker standing platform, but done right it would overly resemble a disk of Tzeentch.

I think the answer is a converted Vyper. Replace the front hanf of a Vyper with a jetbike, place a small platform on a the turret ring, and a handrail around the platform. Stand your Farseer on that.

There was a Saim-Hann special character who rode into battle that way, though he used a full Vyper to do so.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Its a cool idea, but I dont like the standing "sleepingbag". A jet bike is fast and should look fast. This looks slow. Its a cool idea with the two big engines (which I would model after the Reventant shoulder or hip engines) but the standing character needs to sit or lie or something else.

The first pic posted by Red_Lives is a really good basis, I think, if that's how you're picturing it.

Eldar Vehicles are stream line, smooth and have only whats needed, your concept is bulky and looks like it has the air resistance of a brick, and i have to agree the pilot should be lieing down or sitting to make it look like its built for speed
