Jumping back into Chaos Marines, I'm thinking about something like this:
HQ
Daemon Prince w/ Wings
Daemon Prince w/ Wings
Elite
1 Dreadnought w/ 2 DNCCWs - Fire Frenzy? Who cares!
5 Terminators w/ Lightning Claws
6 Chosen w/ Lascannon, 2 Plasma Guns, IoCG
Cult Troops
7 Plague Marines w/ 2 Plasma, PI; Champion w/ Power Fist
7 Plague Marines w/ 2 Plasma, PI; Champion w/ Power Fist
6 Noise Marines w/ Blast Master, PI; Champion w/ Power Sword
6 Noise Marines w/ Blast Master, PI; Champion w/ Power Sword
6 Rubric Marines, PI; Champion w/ Force Sword
8 Khorne Berzerkers w/ 2 pistols, PI; Champion w/ Power Fist
- in Rhino
Non-Troops
5 Lesser Daemons
5 Lesser Daemons
Fast
6 Raptors w/ 2 Meltas, IoCG; Champion w/ Lightning Claws
6 Raptors w/ 2 Meltas, IoCG; Champion w/ Lightning Claws
6 Raptors w/ 2 Meltas, IoCG; Champion w/ Lightning Claws
Heavy
Defiler w/ 2 CCWs
Defiler w/ 2 CCWs
Defiler w/ 2 CCWs
Note that this isn't an army list per se, more of a collection of things that would be fun to convert and paint.
Ultimately, armies would be made from this collection, so does anything jump out as unplayable?

revised to upgrade weapons add Lesser Daemons

not necessarily unplayable, but I would suggest some icons of nurgle etc, just to up the effectiveness of... well... all of the things that can take them.

I don't think it is that great of a list but it is very Chaos.

Hmm. I can see you want to run an undivided list. Stelek will hate you but meh. Raptors at least need LCs. Berzerkers need fists. LC Termies will die because they won't reach CC. Take Oblits or Havocs. Your TSons champ MUST have a power. NMs need sonic blasters. DPs need powers.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

If you're going to take psychic powers on your Daemon Princes, then make sure you take powers that can be used in close combat, because otherwise you're wasting lots of points. If you want ranged psychic powers, or a variety, take a Sorcerer with a Familiar. The Tzeentchian combination of Warptime and something else can be scary if you pull it off. If you're not going to take psychic powers on your Daemon Princes, take Daemon Princes of Khorne: the extra attach and the relative cheapness makes them good shock troops.
If you're in it for the painting and playing, rather than some attempt to game the system, then I'd suggest leaving the multiples at home and going for variety (like you do with your Elite choices).
Give the Chosen an Icon so that they can call in pin-point teleport attacks from the Terminators. I'd suggest giving one Terminator a Chainfist and a Reaper Autocannon, for tanks and light vehicles.
As mentioned the Aspiring Sorcerer must have a power. I suggest Doombolt if you already have plenty of anti-tank, Bolt of Change if you don't. If you plan to give them
Personal Icons on all your Champions means that you'll be able to lay those Terminators where you want them (if not when you want them) to support your attack.
Finally, your force either needs some more Rhinos to haul them forwards, or more Raptors so you don't get shut out of objective-based games (which is boring).

Wanna give this list a go? I would love to get a friendly in with you, maybe at the Bunker?

Yeah, I want a certain amount of model variety. Also, please note that this is more of a model list (i.e. what you can see) than an army list of what would play...
I can do Lightning Claws & Fists, no problem. The Termies would DS, rather than walk. I own the Defilers, so Oblits and Havocs are out, also such shootiness is more Loyalist than Chaos. Haven't decided on a power yet - what do you suggest? Sonic Blasters are 5 pts each - or an extra NM in the squad.

I haven't decided on DP powers, and probably won't bother until it's time to make a list for real.
I'm going with some multiples because I want to model certain things. When I start the P&M blog, more of this will become apparent.
With all this Psyker power difficulty, maybe I'll just downgrade them to ordinary CSM and save the points...
The Personal Icons make sense, along with the extra Rhinos.

I'd love to! The only problem is that it's mostly bought, nothing but the Defilers built, and they're only started.
Perhaps 2009, when it's more complete...

On further thought, if I'm doing Icons for the Assault Termies, I might as well add a couple units of Lesser Daemons to reinforce the assault troops. And since I've got a concept for the models, the Lesser Daemons can proceed!
I'm seriously considering swapping the Rubric Marines for more Berzerkers or even generic CSM. The idea of fielding all 4 Major Powers is nice, and would model up nicely but I'm having trouble visualizing how Rubric Marines contribute to the battle line. How are you guys making use of expensive shooty guys (AP3) with an expensive fighty guy (Force Sword)?
