Ive always wanted to create a diorama or a duel for 40k, but since im pretty much a newbie at both painting and modelling i thought id start off with something small and only use some spare models thats gathering dust in a corner.
Unfortunately those models where a metal Sister Superior and some random zombie with Marauder arms, and metal models are too static to be really creative .

So the only real converting involved a pair of pliers that i used to bend the Chainsword, a Bolt pistol added to the zombie and some GS to act as gore.

The pics where taken with a Cellphone since i dont own a real camera so they are abit blurry... or very blurry.
I promise i will use a real camera when its completely finished.

Any tips and tricks on how to improve my diorama/duel skills is appreciated.

Ugh, your camera is focusing on the book behind the miniatures rather than the scene itself!

You should use the macro mode (if any) and hold the trigger button on your camera slightly down so it tries to "grab" what you want. If it's not focusing on the miniatures, then bit by bit increase the distance between the lens and the miniatures. If I can read the description on the book behind them then the camera is good enough!

Otherwise, remove that stuff with little letters and replace it with anything else.

Unless you've got a proper camera (eg one that is designed to take pictures of things that close) I doubt you'll be able to get a decent picture. Maybe borrow one?
