Brood Lord with Feeder Tendrils, Toxin Sac, 7x Retinue
32 Spinegaunts with scuttlers
5 units of 12 Gene Stealers (2 with Feeder tendrils)
2 Carnifex with Scything Talons and Barbed Strangler.
The Spine Gaunts screen for the stealers, the Broodlord distracts the opponent and the Carnies rush forward to enemy tanks.

Looks... interesting.
I'd whittle down the Gaunt numbers, they're just there for screens anyways and as such you don't really need 32 of them. You might also consider giving at least two of your Genestealer squads Scuttlers to outflank or the extra Scout movement. As written, you'd have a very hard time facing long-distance templates like Hellhounds or Fire Prisms. Heck, drop pod flamers would rock you pretty hard, too. Scuttlers offers you a little more flexibility than rushing around the board like overpriced orks who can't afford the wounds lost to shooting.
You might consider adding a flying tyrant, preferably of the Devourer variety, simply for the added maneuverability and firepower. However, that's 196 points of Genestealers you couldn't take if you went that route, so it's your call.

I only have the one yes. But i only have one unit that needs him. An if they fail and need to go to the nearest synapse creature then - thats fine - the Broodlord will be down range. If they spend the time to shoot him dead then its shooting not going into my genestealers.

I wont down play your list at all as I've seen one stealer and a broodlord absolutely demolish a full khorne berzerker squad. I think maybe if you lay down cover fire with the stranglers then you can pile in the stealers. Your biggest concern is going to be fire prisms and russes

I agree - I conceded to them by including some Carifexes. With tanks on the table my plan is to rush them with carnies and get into CC ASAP. I may opt to include 2 Lictors just for those type of armies.
As it is - this is where Im at:
Broodlord; Feeder Tendrils; Toxin Sacs; Rending Claws; Scything Talons ; Synapse Creature
7 Genestealers
Hive Tyrant; Enhanced Senses +1 BS; Toxin Sacs +1 St; Winged; Twin-linked Devourer (x2); Catalyst; Synapse Creature; The Horror, Implant Attack
16 Gaunt Brood; Scuttlers; Spinefists
12 Genestealers; Scuttlers; Rending Claws
12 Genestealers; Feeder Tendrils; Rending Claws
12 Genestealers; Rending Claws
12 Genestealers; Rending Claws
12 Genestealers; Rending Claws
3 Carnifex; Enhanced Sense +1 WS; Scything Talons; Barbed Strangler

Your Carnifexes can either shoot or run, not both. If you're walking forward 6" with them then firing, it's not hard to stay out of assault range from them. If you're running with the Fex, then you're not using that S8 Pinning large blast weapon. The point of taking Scything Talons with a Barbed Strangler is not to have a dual-purpose Fex, it's to have a template weapon in the elite slot. A Carnifex will never catch a Fire Prism, the thing can move 12" and shoot, 24" and not shoot. Why add +1WS to this Fex? Wasted points all around since you don't need WS to hit a tank, and even at WS4 you'll still hit most troop choices on 4's. Whenever you are shooting at range with this guy, the talons will be a waste of a gun slot. If you're in combat, the gun will be a waste of a talon slot.
You'll want to add in Venom Cannons to keep Prisms, Russes, etc. from shooting at you. Being S10 they tend to glance things very easily, good for stopping things from shooting at you at the least, and immobilizing or destroying weapons at the best situations. Immobilizing a skimmer won't usually kill it any more, but it does leave it sitting there waiting for your mass of Genestealers to eat it.
For land-based tank lists (Land Raider spam anyone?) you can bring one or two full out melee fexes to be put to good use, since they can actually catch these. Dual Talons, +1WS, and Toxic Miasma: 113 points. You get 5 attacks on the charge at WS4 and you knock other WS4 people down to WS3, meaning you hit Marines and their ilk on 3's, they hit on 4's, then wound on 6's. Same for orks, but you'd die to the power klaw long before you whittled away enough of them to kill the Nob.

I posted my 1,850 list in my hivefleet yakface article discussion thread.
But to recap, I personally feel that keeping Scuttlers on all your Genestealers (is actually what makes it a 'shock' army) gives you many more tactical options in 5th edition with this type of army.
If you get the roll to go first, you can set up to take full advantage of your Scout move and if you're going 2nd you now have the option to outflank with most of your army.
Combine this with the ability to Deep Strike your winged Tyrant if needed and you just aren't stuck with the typical: charge straight ahead and hope enough Stealers survive tactic.
