I didn't really know where else to put this. But I was wondering what do you exactly get in a box of Noise Marines that isn't in a box of Normal CSMs?

It's 2 of the old 4 model sprues, not the new 5 model sprues(the ones with enough ccw arms), a metal torso, a metal power sword arm, blast master with separate left arm, and sonic weapon with separate left arm.

So it sounds like if I was going to convert the Sonic Weapons I wouldn't really need to be buying the Noise Marine then eh? I really don't need anything else in that box. Just a black and pink paint job and they be good to go.

Edit: My only real question now is how do I get that slightly greyed detail on all the edges of their armor on the black parts? do I just do 75% Chaos Black and 25% Codex grey and kind of drybrush it into the edges?

there are a number of ways.

you can drybrush the edge of the armor with a lighter grey

you can layer the edge of the armor with succesively lighter grey colors

you can paint a grey band at the armor edge and ink it back towards the black color until it becomes the color you want.

you can also pain the armor grey and layer it back to black from the edge to the main armor portion..

And three heads, one champion head, two squad-member heads.

I saw quite an interesting method for highlighting black recently. Basecoat the bolters with 80% black and 20% grey to begin with. Then just add a little more grey to get a subtle highlight. They may not look pure black, but there's nothing to stop you from using Badab Black to tone it down afterwards.

I really should be spending my time more constructively.

You only get one sonic blaster in the box? What a rip-off!
I never noticed that EC Lord. Is he no longer available in stores?

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

There is a 'bitz pack' now available that is probably a better way to go...
