Hey All,
I'm Dan, the head of a new miniature gaming club in Western Massachusetts, The 131. We've only been around about half a year, but we're growing pretty fast, so keep an eye out for us in the future!
Cheers,
Dan
The 131
EDIT - As a club, we'll definitely be running events in our area and throughout Massachusetts. Do these forums have a place where I could post about said events? It would mainly be tournaments, megabattles and such, not so much with campaigns.

Or create a club profile using the Articles System.
For an idea of what you can include, check out the one I put up for the Austin Texas community.

Not only am I a Dakka Member, but a 131 Member (and officer) as well! We have some great stores in the area, and there are always events going on.
We are happy to play a game or introduce new people to the hobby. Please feel free to reply here, send Dan or me a PM, or visit our website.

We just lost our local game store here in South Eastern Massachusetts (breaking a streak of near 20 years of having one in the area!), so it is good to see some still going strong in the Bay State.
You're a bit of a ways from me, but I'll see if I can't get out to the Western part of the state at some point!

And Alpharius, if it's too much of a haul for you to get out our way, there is a gaming club from the Boston area. The 'Arvard 'Ardboyz. Should be easy enough to locate them, but if you need help, lemme know. A good buddy of mine is a long-time member of theirs.

It would definately be cool to have you down to our neck of the woods, Alpharius. Being in SE MA, you may want to stop in Danger Planet (really cool shop) in Waltham. There is also a store in Newport, RI which may be close to you as well.

I didn't know about the shop in Newport! Any and all additional info on it will be greatly appreciated!
Newport, RI is a heck of a lot closer to me then Western Massachusetts OR Boston.
(Although, as an alum of UMASS AMHERST it would be nice to take a trip back out there! It has been a LONG time since I've been back!)
I've been to Danger Planet quite a bit, and I definitely like it a lot and would recommended it to anyone.
Waltham just happens to be another 'can't get there from here' type of place...

I can 100% understand about time being a precious commodity, I happen to have a young daughter myself I wish I could play more than once a week.
I believe it is call The Annex Books and Games, but you may want to do a bit of surfing or calling around to find out.
Off The Wall, one of our regular stores, is in Hadley and right off of RT 9. It is in the Barn or Santa shops, I forget which it is called. But, it is easy to find. Let us know if you decide to go for a ride and stop in!
