i really need some ideas for my daemonhunters army (because im about as original as the common cold) and also because i see
so many great inquisitor lead armies and they are all so original so i decided to start a daemonhunters army
any suggestions for a theme or colour scheme would be very welcome

The models are Grey Knights. They just aren´t..... grey.

What kind of DH army are you going for Hughzle? I mean do you want Grey Knight marines and that kind of thing?
Or are you going for daemonhosts and a crazy powerful inquisitor?

An Inquisition army is all about character. So find a theme that you like, and go for it.
For example, I use Inq allies with my Imperial guard, so whenever my Inquisitor needs veteran henchmen, they are from my imperial army.

Just an example, the key is to make the bits of the army fit together. And to have fun doing it.

In case you´re going for the "regular" metallic grey knights, the metal bits are quite easy.

Boltgun metal for basecoat
Edges mithril silver (or 50/50 Mithril and Boltgun if you want to go crazy)
Wash with Badab black
After this you can redo the highlights, but it should be fine for tabletop use.

The bone/light brown bits could be done with:
Bleached bone
Sepia wash x 2
Bleached bone highlights
Sepia wash

As for eyes and that sort of thing, if you feel confident enough to do them that´s all good, if not, just leave them black.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Avoid black, you dont se theetail on the miniatures.

If younwant black try very dark blue and heavy black shading with highlights of lightning bolt blue to white. An alternative is very dark blue black shading and a highlight of gloss varnish mixed with a very small amount of silver.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

When White Dwarf still had good content, like the Index Astartes articles, the color scheme of the Grey Knights was a metallic black and and gold. That's the way mine are:

I have never been a fan of brighter silver armor so I wanted something different.

This is the pic that I took the inspiration from: http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Image:Grey1.jpg
