I suppose it depends how much stuff turns up and if I buy anything else.

I have loads of stuff to do this month, next to no time off from work and a truck (a real one) to finish for someone, so I'll probably be spending my spare time in the workshop not at my modelling desk. However, the time I do get I vaguely intend to spend in the following fashion

1: Take stock of exactly what I have Orks wise, as I've seriously lost track.

2: Get hold of the new Ork Codex and the new Rulebook, and work out exactly what units I need to concentrate on to actually start playing some games.

3: At the very least I'll need to assemble:

New warboss (I love black reach one, and my old one is painted craptacularly badly)

Some vehicle choices, probably the new bikes and a new trukk

Anything else that takes my fancy, probably a squad of Burnas. I've got the Burnas and Lootas box set coming, but I think they're all going to be burnas and I'll use the loota weapons for modifying/upgrading vehicles and power armoured knobs or Dreads, really don't like the look of the new loota models but I'll see how they look up close.

Then it's priming and painting almost everything. I have a fair amount of stuff primed, and a few things painted but so badly I'll never field them.

There's also some salvage work to be done, I've got some boyz which are painted really badly, so badly in fact that I might just throw them, but if I can lose the paint without damaging them or they fall apart, I might have another go. There's also some bad primer reactions in places that need a serious coat of looking over, I never knew before that you had to wash all the minis before painting.

I'm really looking forward to building everything properly, spending more time getting rid of mould lines and getting things assembled just right, then painting with a lot more attention to detail than before. Should be a P&M blog from me starting next week.

Man, AoBR is totally going to throw a monkey wrench into the next month or three's worth of vows...

Assuming I get a couple AoBR splits, modeling could consume me for a very, very long time. (never a bad thing!)

At the very least, for September I vow to:

Finish modeling and prime Lemmy
Paint and base one entire unit, start to finish. (any single unit, be it grots, boys, Deff Choppas, Kans, anything)

Sure, if you like em stock!

AoBR for me means:
-quick fit slugga boys to de-crapify (basically modeling fodder to avoid the static look)
-a plastic warboss I can hack into a cybork mono-wheel biker boss
-plastic beakie dreads I can chop up for dreads/kans
-plastic koptas I can hack into unique bikers

You see my point AoBR means more modeling and difficult vows, but that is by no means a bad thing.

Finish my Daemon army (12 minis left!)

Finish my unit of Lobbas (3, just the guns. Easy.)

And pack my miniature painting stuff away for a long time. After six 40k armies, a BFG fleet, an AI squadron, and other assorted projects over the last 4 years I'm ready to call it quits for awhile and just play the game.

I think I might convert my painting table to a regular art table and just learn to draw and paint pictures.

Think I've had it for this month. I'm going to need a special occasion, like Columbus Day,
when I can celebrate genocide and colonialism by painting tiny armed forces. I realized that
it's about the 20th or so day of the month and the last time I painted something was to put
eyes on a slayer pirate for tournament admission. My Gun Mages have been staring at me
ever since.
