For skin, if you want to paint it quickly, do a base coat of gretchin green or darker shade if desired and then apply a wash of thraka green or dark angels green if you have that, for the rest i dont know

I use the foundation paints only for the skin.

I use the orkhide for base, then knarloc green for first highlight and gretchin green for final highlight. I am plaaning to add the thraka green wash to the nobs and the boss (double coat for the big guy) to make them a bit darker (the darker they are the stronger they are...)

This gives it a bit less cartooney (read bright green) feel to the skin. Others really like the cartooney skill btw, so it is a matter of preference. I will try to post pics tonight when I get home...

Edit: Found a linky to an old post with my orks:

My Boyz get the quick treatment. Orkhide Shade for the skin, Red Gore for the eyes, Bleached Bone for the teeth and nails, then a variety of colours for the clothing. Metal is a base of Tin Bitz with a drybrush of Chainmail.

I tend to go assembly line though, take stuff out of the sprue, prep it, base it with the foundation paint, do the metals, slop and go eyes, teeth and nails, touch up around it, then do clothing and such. Finally, glue them together and touch up on any glue spots.

It's definitely a quick and dirty way to do Boyz, but i like my Ork skin to be darker anyway (my absolute brightest highlight isn't even as light as Goblin Green) and I honestly wanted to make a Green Tide when I started the army last fall. With nearly 200 Boyz to do and me with no painting skills at the time, it needed to be quick and easy.
