Let it load and watch it all or advance it to 1:24 into the video.

All I saw was Modular Terrain, and at $50 a box.....not bad.

You mean squares? A prefab grid? Not exatly what I'd call terrain.

I dont know about terrain, but if the game mechanics are good, it might be a really great game for those who love space hulk type games.

I doubt the mechanics will be any good.

This will most likely be dumbed down and targeted at a mass market audience and not the hobby board game market...

I really like the prefab "terrain" but this has already been done better in the form of Heroscape.

Also...a DVD? Seriously...Seriously?

Hated the video game, threw my XBOX in turkey creek. Tried it on PC and thankfully had a reason or two (Tenuous though they may be...) not to throw it of the bridge. Not gonna throw any more money away on that crap. Not gonna go see the movie either.

Why do companies do video to promote products?

Slow to load, tedius to watch and usually they could be more effective with text and photos.

Plus you can't skim video!

The DVD is probably added for the idiots who lack an imagination. Your mastur chef mini shoots the grunt, now play the video showing just that happen, then remove the grunt mini from the board.

This does feel like a throwback to those boardgames from the 80's and early 90's that came with a video or laserdisc to help you play the game.

If this is the Heroquest/Space Crusade of it's day then fair enough.
Anything to get more people into the war gaming hobby is fine by me!

The terrain ain't all that. I'd spend the money on COD.

So by this reasoning we can expect you to throw all your 40k books and figs into Turkey Creek if you play a game of 40k that doesn't please you?

reminds me of the HeroScape terrain hex tiles. Pretty cool idea, and you can go nuts with a buttload of them.

Eh, it's ok. Maybe if you got a few boxes you could do something with it, but I think regular plasticard and foam would work better. Anyone know if a space marine could fit under the walkways?

Thanks,

If I find a whole ton of these in a dumpster out in Redmond, I might use them... but for $50 a box you can do a whole lot better.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

No, but don't think that I haven't considered it. Nothing has ever pissed me off as much as console video games. Something about the lack of option for house rules.

Given it's a video about a Halo-related product, what you've said Kyoto pretty much describes the subject matter as well, so I think its entirley appropriate to use video.

That is the most insane and thoughtless responce to Halo and the X-Box I have ever seen. Nothing deserves that kind of treatment.

Seriously warpcrafter, what did the creek ever do to you?
