It appears you can give the Master of the Forge a bike and a conversion beamer. This sounds like a rather intersting conversion idea (sic) probably involving and attack bike, with no extra crewman.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

I like it. I was thinking of running bike marines and that would be a nice touch. the bike would help him strengthen the beam too by riding back a bit. Mind if I gank your concept? I'll M&P blog it in a month or so.

Yes, you can.

Why is it an issue?

Doesn't seem like it will be a difficult conversion.

Use a Tau special issue weapon, a ork gun...I mean anything will do really.

The conversion beamer is supposed to be a seperate tracked unit, I expect this to be FAQed sometime.

The cannon (thunderfire I think?) is a seperate, tracked unit.

AFAIK the CBeamer is just a man-portable weapon.

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

There are no rules as to what it is, its just a weapon upgrade he swaps gear for and you spend points to get.

I've already purchased the required items to make a MotF on a bike with the Servo-Harness on a bike. I'm going to use an Assault Bike and build a little robot arm thing on top of a tool chest on the side carriage.

I'm going to build a chariot. Ok I'd probably just use the master of the ravenwing on jetbike model for it, it's a really sweet fig.

Woot, just as well i still have conversion beamer bits from back in the mists of time. They used to come on the heavy weapon sprues that came with genestealer hybrids.

Should be a doddle to model this guy (but then, I'm already planning on building my own thunderfire cannon).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Check ebay for Odds and Sods from Space Crusade. The Mission Dreadnought expansion had Conversion Beamers in it.

Little work and you are done.

That's a beamer for you in the middle.

In one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 6", kill a few guys with his flamer, assault 6", kill two more guys with his bayonet, flee 12", regroup when assaulted, react 6", kill one more guy with his bayonet and then flee another 12".
So in one game turn an Imperial guardsman can move 42" and kill more than 5 people. At the same time a Chimera at top speed on a road can move 18"...
