If you look through the list and notice the 40k Ork items that are listed, you will notice that one metal based box set is missing - the killa kan. Could this be a sign of things to come (in plastic). Or is this just another oversight from GW and our Kans will go up in price?

Just thought I would put this out there for those in the know.

Later.

Blinky why are you buying from GWOZ?

Buy from the UK for a 20-25% discount and if you go some of the internet retailers add another 10% with free shipping, to have it at your door within 7 days.
Used to be even better from the US but due to the rise of the US dollar its better to go UK.

A friend of mine did that, went through customs - and a large sum was added making a total saving of $5

It's probably more for Waaagh Gonads because he buys stuff, assembles it and paints
it in army sized lots.

Due to free postage I order once a fortnight minimum, usually once per week for the last 3 years (novels, army books/rule book, game sets, blisters, boxes and even a large army deal) and have never once had any duties added.
I may have been very lucky and your friend very unlucky but many of the Australians on the main GW website in Oz use international orders and swear by it.

I don't have a credit card, which makes ordering difficult. Im supporting my small local store as much as I can, they dont get much business, and due to their 10% off everything I buy there with small orders.

I never buy anything from GW itself anymore, but it would be handy to have an Aus Price list anyway.

Lol, I love all the 25-50% price increases. This will surely make me spend money at my LGS instead of saving 25-30% ordering online...

Well with the price of primer going up to $15 a can, I will be looking for other alternatives. I love GW paints, but not that much.

Yes, you pay import duty, but only beyond a certain amount.

Using Australia as an example again, any orders with a value of less than AUD$1000 will not be charged import duty. I learnt this the hardway when we did a group Forge World order that was over a grand. Ended up paying an extra AUD$300 in import duty. Not fun.

Since then, we've kept all orders below $1000. In the past 3 months I've done two orders that were both AUD$600-$700 in value and none of them have attracted import duty.

That's fair enough, but a number of banks (I know St. George and ANZ do these) offer debit cards that can be used as credit cards. I have a Visa Card, but I also have a Visa Debit Card through St. George, which can be used as an EFTPOS and Credit Card, and it just comes out of my account.

Moreoever, if you want to avoid cards altogether, PayPal can take directly from your bank account if you want them too.

The place I use, and I think Gonads uses them as well, is Maelstrom Games UK, where they always have discounts, run periodic sales, and shipping is free, regardless of the size of the order. They're a great little store that our group have ordered hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of stuff from, all at the best rates around, and that's before you factor in the $0 shipping costs.

Primarily because the wife kept running up credit card debts, and I was sick of paying them off. Now she has to stick to the budget. He, he...

LOL, we pay $20 in Australia, right now. With the price increase, it will probably be around $25, or like $23 USD. Consider yourself lucky.

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

I did not see Chaos Oblits anywhere.

Space Marine Codex will be $30?

Also the Chaos Dreadnought will be $50. Hurry up and get one before the price goes up!

Looking through it more thoroughly, the as yet unreleased Space Marine's are increasing an average of 20% with the character models taking the biggest increases(25%), and the Thunderfire Cannon taking the lowest(13%). I wonder if the pre-order page will get the new price before they're released and what people that have already place pre-orders will be charged. Sadly, all the increases will do is hurt the LGS, as more and more people look to find the best deal possible. It's hard to justify paying full price for an item when you factor in the cost to drive to said LGS if like me, the closest one that carries the full range is an hour away. At least plastic prices are staying the same for the time being.
