That's right, any Warboss worth his salt has one! So for your viewing pleasure, here are the pics of mine, WIP of course. All comments are welcome. Worth mentioning that this one has been on the shelf for over 2 years now in an unfinished state. Well, it is time to change all that. So 'ere we go, 'ere we go, 'ere we go Boyz!
Some initial Squiggoth Shots follow, each in different stages of completion.
First, some shots of the Squiggoth with the Ork WAAGGHH.
Next, another early pic of the Squiggoth in his 1/2 finished state
And some closeups of the Ork Supa Lobba which is mounted in his Howdah. This whole unit is detachable in case I want to use it as Terrain or as a Flakka-Dakka Gun.
OK, here is the Squiggoth's Howdah on my modeling table receiving some much-needed updates (finally!)
My army is called The Green Vanguard. Also note the painstakingly hand-painted Orky Glyph. It is painted on a childproof bottle which conveniently allows the turret/ TL Supa Lobba to rotate.
Orky Slogans really rile the enemy.
I am going to paint Orky Chex all over the inside of the Howdah because the Boyz love it. Some mistakes that you see here will be cleaned up at a later stage.
The Mekboy in Charge checks out the WIP to make sure it is going well. He has the Orky Wot-Notz after all!
A full view of the Triceratops-counts-as-Squiggoth in his (more finished) state:

Okay, some things that might make this project even better, give it a bit of extra "Realism".
For your platforms, it might be an idea to have a railing inside all the spiky goodness. That way the orks won´t get too carried away and tip over the side.
As KingCracker said, painting the dino model would help immensely, and some more integration of the dino and howdah might be good too.
You could also try the new washes. They´re great for getting a grittier "used" look. Of course, if bright contrast colors are what you´re after that´s great too.
Since the top level spins (as i understood this is the case?), it might be an idea to put some mechanicky gubbins on the tube bit between the two levels.
Oh yeah, one last thing, basing makes a world of difference, even more so with metal models. Seeing the slot on the base like that utterly breaks the immersion.
And for the good stuff: I love the checker patttern! That must be taking forever, getting it on the entire floor of the howdah.
Also, great job for starting on a squiggoth, and not going FW for it. More variety in models is great.

Thanks for the encouragement and for all the great comments! I was able to get some more painting done on this scratchbuild since my last post and will post up new pictures soon. In the meanwhile:
KingCracker, ha ha ha, glad you liked the old Credit Cards. I am one of the few people who rejoices everytime I get fake credit cards in my junkmail because they're great for scratchbuilding! To the Orks, they're like large sheets of scrap metal, probably taken from downed Imperial Ships. Obviously, the numbers are registration numbers of those Imperial Ships!
Alex, glad you liked the Spoonapult - found on one of the Battlewagons in one of my full army shots. If anyone has the original Gorkamorka rules, you'll see that it is modeled after one of the Grot Vehicles which also features a Splattapult which looks suspiciously like a spoon. In retrospect, I probably should have used a Spork (Spork = Orkier) but alas - I shall remember that next time!
Xanthos, lots of great suggestions from you. I am looking for all I can get. Once the painting is done, I need to do more for this scratchbuild - it MUST have 6 more weapons (2 TL Big Shootas and 4 Pintle-Mounted Big Shootas) as per the Apoc Entry. I have thought about painting the dino, too, but have no idea where to begin. Still, I agree that this must be done. I'll probably hit it with the white spray primer, then paint it (some color) and hit it with some green ink to bring out all those wonderful creases and crevasses which are not being taken advantage of now on the current model. Not sure I even have the right brush yet - must look into this.
I am open to adding more to the Howdah - but probably not a railing - I just don't think Orks will care! What else to add I am unsure about at this point. I'll send pics soon which show off the Howdah when full of Orks and then we can consider again if something more needs to be added and what. A user on another forum suggested a double-row of spikes. Not sure if that's a good idea or not - would it look good? Not sure yet. Might test that out.
The top level does spin, and I think the center pillar would be a good place for adding Gubbins. I will think on this and try to decide what to add. I may have several bits that would fit the bill. I liked the idea of hanging wires or ropes between the 2 platforms, but since the top spins, I don't think that can work.
Re: Checker Pattern, took forever, but I have finished it and it looks GREAT.
More to come, thanks for the comments!

Are you using Cybertronic Death Eggs as dreads?

The good old "Eggs of Death." As a matter of fact, I am. Don't really play Warzone any longer, but I think these look right Orky! The first one (black) was painted for Warzone. The second one was painted (GREEN) just for the Orks. They work pretty well, too, and boy do they scare the enemy! Also since these were $20 each, saved some scratch as well.
