I've found timelines and articles that say the Emperor was born 9000 BC...can anyone cite for an actual work from GW that says this?

Horus Rising or False Gods actually has Horus state the Emperor told him he was born in 8000BC in Anatolia. (but what's a millennia here or there)

Quick search on google brings this up - http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Emperor-of-Mankind-(Warhammer-40,000) - as well as this - http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Emperor_of_Mankind.

No citations though. Also, in the Horus Heresy era, most of the early fluff seems to be up in the air.

Not handy, no, Horus mentions it in the same section where he's showing Lokken his Saggitarius ring.
