What is GW doing in Ard Boyz?

What are they trying to force us to do by the scenarios they are picking?

Why are they providing the scenarios for us unlike the last year?

Are they trying to do something that I do not have enough intellegence to figure out?

I think they are first trying to keep the interest of their veteren players and get us to bye models for a larger army. No big deal with me. However, I am thinking that there is more to what they are doing, but I cannot put my finger on it. I know someone has a better theory and brain than me to see and know what is going on.

It seems like they are trying confuse me are trying to make us scramble our brains to build a list match multiple missions............. LOL Driving me crazy........

Sell models.

Have a slightly different challenge then the missions in the BRB.

Because last year, some people were able to get advance copies of the missions from the stores/people running the tournaments. Releasing them online to everyone levels the playing field.

No - you're really putting more into it then is necessary. Not everything is a conspiracy.

I'd say they're trying to enforce balanced list building, especially looking at the first mission's rules.

Seems odd that they'd encourage balanced list building when it's the 'Ard Boyz tournament.

`Ard Boyz is run by GW's Market Department, at least according to the FLGS guy who oversaw it here. To me, their objective is to get people to buy lots of stuff. The slightly different variations on the missions are just to make it more interesting than a normal game and get more people drawn in.

Hopefully GW is realizing that a large base of customers can be found in a realistic and well done tournament scene a la Wizards of the Coast and are trying to steer their tournaments away from gimick matches and armies.

It would be nice to have Friday Night Warhammer 40,000 with special edition Figures to be won etc..

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.

Second.

If a balanced lists wins against the 'Ardest of the 'Ard, then that more or less vindicates GW's ideas on balanced composition.

Its just kind of strange that a game that is over 20 years old has thousands of players. I can count on my fingers and toes the number of actual tournaments.

Its kind of sad really, I mean there are people out there that would be willing to suport it but the fact that GW seems to have no interet in promoting a real tournament or semi tournament scene is kind of disappointing.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.
