Does this generally have a thumbs up from people?

I don't particularly need to know if you think another game is superior. All I ask is whether or not, having actually played it (no friend of friend stuff here please) you enjoyed it or not. A bad review is better than a biased one, I'm sure you'll all agree.

Gathering the Informations.

I think most of us that have played it liked it.
The only big issue I've got is the fact that Order feels like a bit too MUCH of an underdog at the moment, but we might see that change...

Otherwise I love it, it's great fun if you've got friends to play with.

Over all, if you liked world of warcraft, you'll like warhammer online. Aside from the displacement into a different world, the only real change is that they have polished up the PVP system a fair ammount (by designing it from the get go rather than tacking it on at the end). All in all though it is the next step in the MMO scene. They have learned a fair amount of lessons from warcraft and polished the game up a bit, however; at it's core, you are still running around doing one of the following:
a) killing X number of beastie Y
b) running from point A to point B
c) crafting X number of item Y
d) doing one of the previous choices with some sort of time limit.
e) playing some sort of little mini game (shooting people with a balista, bombing guys from the back of a griffon, etc)

So if you didn't like world of warcraft (at least for reasons outside of PVP) then warhammer online is probably not going to do it for you either.

As for the order vs chaos thing, in every game I've ever played that allows players to join "good" or "evil" teams and then fight eachother, evil has always dominated...ALWAYS. That's because the hard core people always flock to the evil side and the lighter gamers (particularly if there are girls or girlfriends involved) tend to flock to the good side. Doesn't matter what the game is, the result is always the same. So in the end, the good side tends to have more people, but they are worse players. Evil tends to be significantly more skilled and since battle ground style fights with even numbers of players are the way things are set up, good loses most of the time.

Threads should be like skirts: long enough to cover what's important but short enough to keep it interesting.

Go onto Ebay and check out the crazy auctions for the Skaven Skin Cloak...they are going for 400 dollars!

.Only a fool believes there is such a thing as price gouging. Things have value determined by the creator or merchant. If you don't agree with that value, you are free not to purchase.
