So last friday was my game with Jervis, which I won in the charity auction for the Make-A-Wish foundation.

If you'd like to see who won, check out the battle report at http://40kbasement.com/main/

I also have up pictures of the Chicao Battle Bunker, in which there is a picture or two of me having relations with the life size space marienz, hurr!!

I also have a product review of Jervis himself, and some other stuff. Keep checking back in the future, as I have a few more battle reports from Chicago!

Great battle report, money well spent. Was that Jervis' GW tape measure autographed by Cavatore? Did you swipe it as a trophy?

A nice read, though I already knew how it was going to end. When has Jervis EVER won a batrep? Maybe once?

Was I the only one hoping to read about Jervis showing up with the most rediculously tooled up and cheesy army list possible and be an incredible jerk the entire game, simply because it's so out of character from what I hear about him? Anybody? Beuller?

Great Batrep by the way, kudos for charity support!'

Nope, that one came with the other goodies in the mail. Apparently Alessio is a pretty decent player, apparently that little bit of good luck rubbed off on me. Some of the things that happened in that game, I just couldn't believe!

Well I'm glad everyone enjoyed the report! I was hoping it'd be a good, close game, and it was. It was pretty cool, Jervis likes to chat about anything, and I got a signed copy of the Imperial Guard Codex afterwards.

Thanks,

MegaDave

Yeah, Jervis is a great column writer (see WD for his monthy articles), but I'm not sure if he ever played 40k?

And it was not Robin Williams, for a change.

I did in fact mention squats! It was probably the only time he wanted to punch me all day, lol!

Asked a few simple rules questions that the local gaming group gets wrong, chatted about real (american) football, and I did compare tape measures. Mine was newer, stronger, and signed by Alessio. Hah!

Thanks,

I saw him at the Bunker during the Chaos Cup and forgot to have him sign something for fun.

Thanks for the report. Glad you had a good time.

Great report! Everything looked really cool.

Does anybody know where those buildings came from? Are those the new GW builds? They were really sharp, and looked well designed for this sort of thing.

Yeah, those were all the plastic buildings that GW makes, you should be able to pick them up anywhere.
