Not entirely sure why this just cropped up in my mind, but many moons ago, during 3rd Edition and playing the rather awful original cityfight rules, I was getting my arse kicked by Guard. The one shining hope was my Bike Chaplain who had been circling the objective on his Bike, clobbering the enemy left right and centre. The only problem here was that my Chaplain couldn't then go into the building to flush out the squad that had snuck in.

Discussing it with my opponent, we came to the agreement that my Chaplain could dismount his bike and head inside on foot, naturally lost all benefits assosciated with said Bike, and could only contest the objective.

So, that is the problem, and one 'on the hoof' agreement to do with it. But what about you guys? AFAIK, it's not covered in the main rules at all, so can someone who has been bought the bike as an Upgrade dismount at any point? I can see it being quite a rare situation, but one I though was probably worth discussing.

What was it, second edition that had all sorts of bizarre rules about bikes for turning, dismounting and drive-by attacks? That'd be a place to start if you wanted some elaborate house rules, since I think it even covered the hazards of dismounting while moving.

He can enter ruins on his bike, he just has to take dangerous terrain tests to do so.

He cannot enter intact buildings. That is to say, I don't think bikes, Monstrous Creatures, and Jump Infantry can enter intact buildings... or transport vehicles... but I could be wrong as I cannot cite a reference.
