i've seen many many people primer and paint on the sprue and then they cut out the sprue and glue stuff but then they have to scrap off paint to glue it on and then repaint anything that didn't get painted because of the sprue and then do touch ups and that just seem like to much work and the out come to me seems the same. IMHO you should just put the model together and paint it.

Put the model together w/o connecting the top and bottom portions. Paint those seperately after priming, then join them.

I always build then paint. You can play first, you don't have to scrap paint to glue, and you don't bother painting what you can't see.

Simple question, do you care how well the interior is painted? For any level of detail on the interior you will pretty much need to paint it before assembly, put it together and then pain the exterior. My Drop pod is in assembly stage, still trying to figure out how much I can get away with assembling before painting.
