Looks absolutely awsome, now all I need is a job...

It's looking great. I see they implemented the cover aspects from Company of Heroes.
And I like the use of a Boss fight element in a RTS style game.
Also thought being able to revive the Squad leader was cool.

Now where's hte Ork walkthrough!

The game will only feature marines in the single player campaign as the main protagonists. All other mentioned races will feature as enemies and will only be playable on-line.

To clarify further, there was going to be an Ork campaign, but partway into the production Relic decided to concentrate on just making a single great campaign rather than two good ones.

Chances are we'll get expansion campaigns ala Starcraft 2.

Looks very cool, but very micromanaging...

If you can play Company of Heroes you can play Dawn of War 2, which looks more like a simplified version of Company of Heroes with lasers and giant bugs.

I guess it will be more roleplay-i that Company of Heroes, but as BrookM said, similar to it tactical-wise. If it's simpler, I don't know, the Devestator squad seems pretty effective against orks in the video (including suppression).

Very very disappointing. I was expecting more from Relic, trashing the great game they had first to create some crap that is not even a true RTS any more.

Hur hur, Dawn of War 2 is still a real time strategy game, they only took out bases and added in customizable characters. If the single player is too fiddly for you there's always skirmish and multiplayer which will feature the classic base building and resource gathering followed by cramming tanks and elites down the rectum of your opponent. Or look out for Red Alert 3, it's got Gemma Atkinson in it

The campaign's an RTT. Multiplayer is RTS. I've always hated base-building and I was glad that COH had very little of it aside from multiplayer - and even then it was just a simple factory that spat out units who duked it out in the field.

But yeah it looks like it's simplified-COH. Eh. You can't really ask for much in the cover/morale system when there's space marines. They kneel, but I hope they are forced to hug dirt when there's a bombardment and flee (at least for a short while, similar to ATSKNF) if they so choose after getting pinned.

To me it looks like a cleaner version of CoH, without the excessive swearing and bloody torsos being blown everywhere whenever a direct hit is scored. Pity.

This may be wistful thinking but I do hope they make the commander look a little more imposing, he looks so awkward handling that thunder hammer like that.
