it was a great game with some great ideas, it just shows how storytelling can be used to great effect in the game, i must agree it was not for some people, as some people i know really detest the game, the gameplay was great, as guns and magic are just cool

but the ending sucks!

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity......

I've only played the demo, but I did really enjoy that. I would probably get it if I had the money that I wasn't spending on newer video games.

Got an Xbox very recently and got it used. It is 10 times better than any other game I played on the Wii I owned from launch day. That includes Zelda. Bioshock is just one of those games for me that has finally challenged me. After so much time with nintendo palling around with Mario and Link isn't cutting it anymore. I guess I just needed to see something bleed and I needed to feel like my life was being threatened by the challenge at hand. I only really ever play it in the dark though. It can get pretty freaky.

I love the hacking system too. Great stuff. I'm ace at it too. I always keep the enhancement that gives me health/plasma when I successfully hack something and I just go around hacking things to up my health/plasma.

Once upon a time, I told myself it's better to be smart than lucky. Every day, the world proves me wrong a little more.

Huh... There are two endings?
I saved the little sisters as well, I guess I'll have to play it again, and see if I can't unlock a few more achievments.

I thought it was a great game.

The nice ending made my girlfriend cry.

Seriously.

She called me up while I was addicted to Bioshock. I was like "Hell yeah come on". I was thinking I'd get me some Liberty X, but it turned out she wasn't interested in nooky, wanted video games. Damn the menstrual cycle. So we played it through straight for like 2 hours, completed it, she blubbed at the end.

Women, really.

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

It's actually not that sacry. Pay attention when you buddy on the radio says "Would you kindly". Who says that, even in an underwater Dystopia?
