well i listen to alot of metal & hard techno when building my minis..... and i got thinking, what kind of music do you all PERSONALLY think the armies of 40k would listen to?
I think the Orks would be metal or hard synth like i listen to. (the technoy stuff because they are oh so steam punky)
marines would be a mix of hardrockish stuff like godsmack or so.
IG the same or possibly 70s or 80s rock (lol hair bands! yea!)
eldar seem to be trance, lets pop some mind expanding pills, type
chaos is EASILY black metal or 80s "devil rock" like judas priest

thats all i thought of right now what does everyone else think? and please no flaming and arguing its just for fun

Themes are pretty spot on where you have them. I think Dark Eldar would listen to Goth and punk. And the Maiden song, 'Fear of the Dark' It's what I listen to while painting them.

Big enough to have a fall down template. Yup, that's me!

Orks? Techno? Steampunk?

These three do not belong together!

Everyone knows Orks love their Hairmetal. Goffik Rokkers anyone?

I think Da Boyz, like any sensible sentient human being would react most violently to Techno music...

And a note on The Cure...ever actually listened to the songs? It's not about crying at all. Well, perhaps Boys Don't Cry. Its just good soulful lyrics.

Do you mean the screeching sound modems and faxes machines would make when negotiating a connection with each other?

When I was bulding my Warboss on bike, the one thing that kept running through my head was the theme song of full throttle. I guess he would like that too

There's an old Black Sabbath song called "The Mob Rules" that I always thought was the perfect Ork theme (can't imagine why lol)--But yea,Orkz definatly listen to Metal.

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

For Iyanden Eldar, "Ghosts of Memory" By Tiger Army. The lyrics are pefect

A place of rest I've tried to find
Aching in my heart, chaos in my mind
This place is poison to my soul
Can't take much more, I'm losing control

Faded perfume in a room
Once a sanctuary, now simply a tomb
And it is in this tomb I lie
Dried flowers pressed in pages of faded romance died

.... FUING NIDS!!!!

Dark Side of the Mood

For those of you who are old enough to remember there was a band called "Bolt Thrower". There were an unoffical house band for 40k. There Albulm art had Space Marines on it.

I think Metal for all! well except maybe the Eldar, Tau, Nids and Necrons.

Eldar: Dance music
Tau: Japanese pop (come on so obvious, think Gundam WingXD)
Necrons: Mr.Roboto (Figures )
Tyranids: Trance (one voice, one mind)

My opinions:S

I Play: Orks
haven't won a game with them though

Soon to play: and either or , haven't decided.

The WAAGGHH!!!! will be Revived! Flay those marines!
