Hello everyone this is my second attempt at a Revoltech style Warhammer custom figure . This time around i went for a Chaos Marine of the Black Legion , and a Renegade Guardsman , the chaos marine was made the same way as the last figure , with a few additions , the guardsman was made from a 21st century toys ww2 figure , which i think is a good scale compared to the marine. Let me know what you think.

The renegade guardsman reminds me of a tusken raider.

Huge shoulders, very tiny head/hands.

Awesome work... I have to ask, which RT figure did you use as your base? It looks like one of the Getters by the elbows, but I'm not sure. I think the sculpt works great for a dynamic and stylized sculpt. Plus, I think you've got the head much more appropriately sized for a genetically engineered brute than any of the GW art or models depict them. The shoulders to sit a tad high, but that's a minor gripe. If I had the sculpting skills, I'd totally make a BA Assault Marine in that style...

Hell the the guards man figure i agree does look like a sandperson but it is based on the forge world minis .

I also agree the head and hands are small compared to the usual minis that you see but as Prometheum5 notes for the scale it works better than the oversized look.

Prometheum5 you are correct it was a Getter Robo and parts from a Black Getter Robo , and thanks for the tip about the shoulders , i will keep that in mind for the next figure. Which i have a couple in mind , a Legion of the Damned Marine or a Blood Raven Devestator.

I think the upper arms should be much bigger. This is a really good idea here overall. The other thing that would look good would be a pommel on the chainsword. There should be some sort of knob, spike, decoration on the end of the handle to stop it slipping out of his hand while swinging it.

The figure is also large enough for some accessories like a knife. If you're not aware of them, there is a company that specialises in weapons for 1/18 scale or 3.75" (GI Joe) action figures called Marauder Gun Runners.
This set has some stuff which would make nice add ons to a bolter such as the chain blade.

A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!

They should use these for a 40K Robot Chicken or something.

Nice work, dude, keep it up! What did you make the majority of the Chaos guy out of?

the figure itself looks a bit funny...kind of dispropotionate, but I like the weapons.

... because that totally makes sense.

the marine is a bit out of whack, just doesnt strike me as a proper marine per se, the weapons are pretty cool, but the guardsman is sweet, i want that one, i think work on the marine, maybe make a normal marine as well, as they are so totally better

Just a man, standing in front of a paint pot, trying to remeber if I rinsed boltgun metal in it.
